Revisited this week on Xbox 360:
Defense Grid - Very fun but hard. At least I find it so. I still haven't beaten the story. I played a lot of the variations on each level for medals.
Minecraft 360 Edition - I really enjoyed my revisit. Got killed by a mob at first but restarted and made it to the Nether and found the Fortress. Next step was finding the Stronghold in the Overworld but I'd had enough for this revisit.
Iron Brigade - A good mix of mech action and tower defense in this DoubleFine game. The first boss frustrated me though.
Darkstalkers Resurrection - I play rounds just to see the wild characters' moves and hear the excellent music which got remixed into Puzzle Fighters.
Pinball Arcade Tables: Black Knight, Tales of Arabian Nights, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Theater of Magic - I went and got all the basic goals and for each an achievement that I didn't get before.
Mass Effect - Played until until the Mako and general battle system annoyed me (read, dead several times in a row), but I got quite far into it. It looks great on my slightly larger used TV.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown - Played until it started decimating my forces so badly I was just working with rookies every mission. It's the usual way for me and this game, but I got past a mission I got wasted on last time I played it. Victory!
Civilization Revolution - So fun. I won a Domination victory and started over and won a Science victory so I could launch space ships and see Alpha Centauri again.
Revisited this week on DS:
Peggle Dual Shot - I stopped when I hit a level I failed three times. This is a great Peggle game and not a port. At least it seems like all new levels. Also a bonus pinball style screen if you get 4 purple pegs and then a gold one while clearing a board. This gives you points and, usually, more than one extra ball. Totally awesome!
Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box - Played until I got puzzle fatigue, which these days is pretty quickly. Still, loved the graphics , music and story. This is the second game in the series.
Well, that's my first post on the new site.
Playing now: Borderlands on 360 and Clubhouse Games on DS.
I remember enjoying Iron Brigade, but it's been a long time since I played it. Also the Layton series is fun in small doses - every once in a while they are nice to dive into.
Glad you made the transition smoothly to the new site!
Thanks for all your hard work. The site looks great!
Glad to see you come over to the new site. Hope you figured out everything OK.
So far so good.
