Games Beaten
-Super Princess Peach (DS)
Super Princess Peach is not at all a bad game. It plays well, has lovely pixel graphics, and decent music. It does not play at all like a "Mario" game, and I think that's good. It's distinct. It was just so easy throughout and they went out of their way to tell you how to do everything, even late into the game. There are collectables but they are never that hard to find. There are more levels after finishing the story that supposedly ramp up the difficulty but I was burned out on it by that point.
Games Bought
April was another very light month for me. I bought Picross S (Switch) but that was it. PS+ saw Conan Exiles (PS4), which I'll probably never play, but the game world looked cool enough for me to grab it, and The Surge (PS4), which is probably much more up my alley as some kind of sci-fi action RPG (I'm guessing the emphasis is more on action).
Now Playing
-Yakuza Kiwami 2 (PS4)
I'm continually surprised at how easy it is to spend a whole evening bouncing around the game world and not advancing the story any, and the story seems pretty good!
-Picross S (Switch)
Picross is so great. I'm into the 15x15 puzzles right now.
-Destiny 2 (PS4)
I'm finally closing in on the Power level cap again. Destiny 2 has not lacked things to do.
-Earth Defense Force 2025 (PS3)
Slow but steady progress on Inferno continues with my Ranger. I've nearly got Normal done with the Wingdiver.
The story in Kiwami 2 is pretty damn good, but I understand getting lost!
I realized the other night that the substories now show up on the map. Yup, all I did was substories that night lol
Yeah, in Kiwami 2, they let you buy an item that shows the locations of the substories. I think it's a great idea. I really need to finish those.
I think the reason why Super Princess Peach was so easy was because it was made by the same people who did Starfy, and those are just Kirby games except underwater. Easy or not, I still like 'em!
I really liked the 3-D PIcross games HAL Labs made on the DS and 3DS.
I have the 3D one for DS. I need to play that.
I started a Crossword puzzle game on my 3DS and got surprisingly hooked on it.
Despite my love of words, I have never been able to get into crossword puzzles
Me too, but for some reason it's clicking with me right now. I think I got tired of the endless grind of Etrian Odyssey Nexus. Crosswords DS lets me just play a few boards in a spare moment and be done with it.
I bought FF12 the other night. Been playing that. I love the damn Switch.
It's so perfect for RPGs!
Never played a Yakuza game before, I hear good things about Yakuza 0, may pick it up and give it a shot.
