Games Beaten

-Panzer Dragoon (Switch)

It amazes me how bad the storytelling is in this game. Good thing the story doesn't matter! The action is solid, though I wish it relied less on locking onto enemies with the homing laser. The levels are varied and interesting and the ability to turn 360 degrees around (in 90 degree jumps) adds a nice wrinkle to familiar gameplay. The music is good and the updated graphics are fine, and that kind of exemplifies the game. It's solid but not a standout. Looking forward to the sequel.

Games Bought

Talk about a simple month! My copy of Panzer Dragoon (see above) finally arrived and I got the two PS4 PS+ games, Hollow Knight - Voidheart Edition (which I will probably play at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later) and Middle-earth: Shadow of War (which, let's be honest, I probably won't).

Games Being Played

-Octopath Traveler (Switch)

I've gotten all the characters and am currently working on the Chapter 2s for everybody (done two so far).

-Destiny 2 (PS4)

Working on the new expansion content still.

I rented Panzer Dragoon Oorta when it came out on Xbox, but I didn't like it enough to buy it. I never played the original. But I'd love it if they rereleased Panzer Dragoon Saga.

I know they are supposedly working on the second one. I'm hoping they just work their way up to Saga.

Saga for me, please. I've always heard about it, and how hard it is to get because of the rarity. So someone remaster it and release it already.

I would love to play a Panzer game just so I know what all the hype is about. At least it's not Shenmue, where the storytelling is pretty bland and that's ... kinda all the game wants you focused on. And yet, I loved Shenmue anyway. Weird.

I'm stoked to play Hollow Knight for free. That's one of those indie games I've kept on wishlists for a while but never jumped on.

I've procrastinated buying Hollow Knight for years now and, well, now I don't have to buy it lol. Score.

As soon as I got all the characters and started working on the chapter 2 stuff in Octopath Traveler, I lost interest.  Just got too grindy.  I miss 16-bit RPGs you could beat in 20 to 30 hours.

My biggest gripe is the lack of exploration. I think that would help a lot.
