While my roommate and I are sitting pretty with power here in Texas, my dad is on an emergency delivery trip to North Fort Worth in not ideal conditions, my parents' next door neighbors had a pipe burst, several friends of mine in Houston/Dallas/San Antonio are without power or water (Austin friend is still with power, so far as I know) and Lufkin (town next to mine/Nacogdoches, ~280 miles from the stuff in DFW I mentioned) apparently depleted its water reserve, so I'm expecting some lower water pressure in my future bare minimum.
Needless to say, it's all making me a bit anxious. Not for myself, but this storm is definitely worse than all of us and definitely ERCOT seem to have predicted and I want to help but not sure how without killing myself on the icy roads.
So, today we're listening to some relaxing music, but please keep my Texas friends and family in your thoughts ... while also crying for those of us with power, given the whole $9000/GwH thing.
Yeah the weather in Texas is crazy. I hope things go okay for you and your family.
I did not know there was a Waterworld game. Must be terrible.
It apparently is, but the music ... man, that's a good tune.
This isn't even up for debate. Prime.
Not the game itself, the music. I think they both have some pretty great music.
Sit back and relax in Waterworld where you'll. . . JUMP ON A JETSKI AND RIDE LIKE A HURRICANE!
Or, just kinda aimlessly float on a raft, like most videos I've seen of the game.
Ha ha. Nothing like a relaxing float.
I'm so lucky I have had power and water this whole time! I work in the plumbing department of a major hardware chain, and on the days I've been able to go to work, I've been dealing with nothing but horror stories of people's pipes bursting and power going out.
And in other good news, guess who just got a beta test key for Guilty Gear Strive?
Nice!
And yeah, I've seen some videos posted to Tik Tok on my Facebook feed of people who have pipes bursting where their ceilings are literally falling down and everything is flooded. It's hell.
