Games Beaten

Games Bought

The hightlight of the month was my son getting Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition (PS4) for his 10th birthday. I'll be playing that! On the other end of the likely-to-be-played spectrum, my wife picked up The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (GCN) for super cheap at a thrift store because it actually has pretty good reviews. And then PS+ had a very solid month of PS4 games. Unlike many of my peers, I did not sink countless hours into the Tony Hawk games but I'll gladly take a copy of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2. Also on the docket was Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the full-on RPG Yakuza game. I'd rather have it physically for PS5...but since I don't have a PS5 yet, this is fine. (And let's be honest, I still need to play Yakuza 0.) Rounding things out is Little Nightmares, a creepy game I've heard good things about.

Games Being Played

-Wargroove (Switch)

Not sure how long this game is but I'm on the first mission of Act 6.

-Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (Switch)

Crafted a new set of armor! It's very shiny.

-Destiny 2 (PS4)

I don't often earn the seasonal titles (the requirements often are not reasonable) but I had gotten so close in the last season just from playing that I pushed through and got it. And "Reaper" is a pretty cool title. Just started a new season and it's all piratey. Will I get the "Scallywag" title?

-Mario Super Picross (Super Famicom - Switch Online)

I've made it to Wario world 9 (there are 11 worlds), so I'm closing in on the end but the puzzles are about to get bigger in size.

That's cool they made a Chronicles of Narnia game.  I loved the books as a kid.  Too bad they didn't make all the movies.

Right now I'm trying to wrap up Live A Live.  I'm also playing Pac-Man World Re-Pac and dabbling in Kirby's Dream Buffet.  Also reviewing a lot of games, but the only really good one I've played in a while is Tinykin.  Get that one if you like quirky GameCube 3D platformers like PIkmin and Chibi Robo.

Man, it's hard to keep up with all the games coming out. You've got me intrigued with Tinykin though.

ooo, I just downloaded TinyKin from Game Pass because I saw Pikmin-like gameplay in the trailer. I might get to it tomorrow - can't wait to try it out.

It's VERY good!

I got very deep into it a few days ago. I'm really enjoying it. Did you see the Pikmin 4 announcement? Whoopie!

I'm actually not a big Pikmin fan.  I just liked Tinykin more for its Chibi Robo style of gameplay.

TinyKin feels a little less restrictive than Pikmin. You have to traverse these rooms from top to bottom to find everything.

Little Nightmares reminded me a lot of Inside; it might be the same devs, I forget.

Oh dear, another game I own and haven't played, haha...ha -___-

I love Wargroove soooo much, even though it gets difficult. I was just thinking about it the other day. I should take another shot at it.

So far in Wargroove I have not dropped the difficulty and only had to look up a strategy for a particularly brutal battle once. It is tough!

I got pretty deep into it before it started to beat me up. I think it's going to be like most other strategy games for me. I replay the first ten levels or so over and over.
