Games Beaten

Another month without finishing anything. *sigh* And I was so close with Wargroove...

Games Bought

I downloaded maaaaybe my last 3DS game (we'll see) in September: Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale. It's a slice of life kind of game in rural Japan with maybe some supernatural or extraterrestrial stuff going on, not sure, but it looks like my kind of game. I also grabbed two of the PS4 PS+ games: Need for Speed Heat (I'll play one of these eventually...probably) and Granblue Fantasy: Versus, a fighting game based on a Japan-only mobile gacha game that I just looove the art of.

Granblue Fantasy Versus

And since this is developed by Arc System Works, the in-game graphics basically look that good too.

Games Being Played

-Pocket Card Jockey (3DS)

This strange mash up of horse racing and solitaire (from the makers of Pokémon) is strangely compelling.

-Wargroove (Switch)

I am on the final mission but could not get it done before the month ended. It's hard!

-Mario Super Picross (Super Famicom - Switch Online)

Halfway through Wario world 9. The puzzles are harder and I haven't been player as much, so progress has been slow.

-Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (Switch)

More grind!

-Destiny 2 (PS4)

And...more grind! Lol

I didn't quite get it that time I played a demo of Pocket Card Jockey. I wanted to like it more. I'd like to play it again. Too bad it was only a digital game and may be gone now with the demise of the 3DS store. Or am I wrong about that? Tell me I'm wrong. I want to play it.

Wargroove is hard, but I can't resist liking it so much. I just love the design of it. Wish there was a physical copy I could buy.

Pocket Card Jockey is indeed a digital-only game. The 3DS store is still up but I don't think there is any way to add funds anymore. I really wish they'd release a compilation of Game Freak's not-Pokémon games, like this one and HarmoKnight and Drill Dozer. Pocket Card Jockey is very different but I really like it. It can be very intense!

There IS a physical edition of Wargroove. It's what I own! Looks like the PAL version is still quite affordable.

Oh man, I'll keep my eye out for that.

Attack of the Friday Monsters is a really unique game.  Glad I got to review it.

Pocket Card Jockey is so good.  I wish they'd make a Switch version.  I'm surprised they haven't put it on mobile.

Your review is a vindication of my decision to get Attack of the Friday Monsters lol. I'm looking forward to playing it. And Pocket Card Jockey is so strange but so hard to put down. Like I said to KnightDriver, I wish they'd put out a compilation of Game Freak's not-Pokémon games. They're always so good!
