Forgot to get a picture with him the day before at his signing, but got one with he and his wife. His signature was the first on this t-shirt, but it's hard to see those in pictures, plus it's below where the t-shirt cuts off in the pic. Looks great in real life, though. Batman shirt is fitting, since I look a bit like The Joker with that hair.

As I said, brentalfloss up there got the best part since he was first, right on the cape, and it looks really cool with his signature having an exclamation at the end; trust me, it looks clearer in real life, had to set it to "sun" lighting on my phone to get it this bright, gonna take pics with actual camera later. He was really happy about it too, it seemed, or maybe that's because I bought his CD for him to sign at the same time.

My friend Ryan, who got me in and everything is in orange. I didn't realize there were two. I look insane in the second one, probably cause I noticed James and Mike make faces in all their photos. You can see Mike Matei's signature on the Batman tee above, AVGN's was on the other side.

Again, looks better in real life.

We thought the $5 for Photos sign was about taking pictures with him at first, or I did, Ryan was smarter and figured out that was for some pictures he was selling of him and as some of his characters. Speaking of which,

he signed one of my non-working Cinema Snob DVDs as his character Gene; he took it over a bit. lol

You can see his signature below brentalfloss's on the batman tee, and he also signed one of the balls I caught from when he was throwing them out at his panel.

I forget what these have to do with Minority Report, and I love that movie, but anyway, it looks like I could have just written Spoony on there myself, but whatever, it's a ball, and I have his other signatures. We actually talked about brentalfloss a bit when he signed, and according to brentalfloss's twitter, Spoony and Black Nerd were at his concert! I didn't see them, but I was in front, they may have been hiding out somewhere.

I asked him about Killer Instinct; he said the line was too long for him to get a chance to play it, but he's worried about balance if it starts out free-to-play; guess he finds that suspicious, and I agree. Just recently started watching him on Rev3Games, Ryan's known him since teenage ... hood. Apparently, someone asked Ryan about who he was, and that was upsetting. Oh well, I like watching Sessler's Something, and he too, signed the shirt.

Last couple sigs were Sean Hinz, News Director and Guy that pretty much seemed to be handling at the convention for Screwattack.

and finally, Black Nerd, who I really should have gotten a picture with, but was trying to make sure I caught brentalfloss for a picture before he went back to New York. Could have done both easily in retrospect, but at least I got him to sign.

That is pretty darn cool.

Yeah, I had fun. Now time to stir some paint. Back to reality, lol.

sounds like you had a great time, man.  I'm not really social enough to do stuff like this, but I enjoy reading about it.

I think you'd be social enough for a good chunk of this particular audience, but I definitely understand if you don't think you'd enjoy it. Brentalfloss actually gave me a couple looks when I saw him in the lobby and he shot my surprise face right back at me, so maybe I'm not social enough for this shit either, but I had fun. lol

You got to meet so many cool folks. Including the man himself,Adam Sessler. That guy is one of the few people whose opinion on games I trust at all times. Dude knows his stuff. ScrewAttack did some fine coverage of E3 this year. Major props to them all.

Yeah, I definitely like watching Sessler's Somethings. Wish I had gotten to meet more Screwattack guys, but I forget where I was during their signing. Major props to Chad for wearing a Bad Religion concert tee around all day Saturday!

Oh, and after the panel with their news guys, I mentioned to Sean Hinz cause they were talking about notifications trouble that maybe Nick could be good at that because of what he's done with Pixlbit. I also mentioned the 1up migration, and Sean seemed more keen on talking about 1up's bad luck with Ziff Davis though, so we'll see if my suggestion goes anywhere.

I'm not familiar with Screwattack, but I would like to meet Adam Sessler. Nice picks anyway. Looks like you had an awesome time!

Funny thing is, none of these people in these pictures are currently working at Screwattack. lol I did have a lot of fun!

Really awesome man. Glad you met Brentalfloss, Spoony and James and Mike. I would kill to go to a con like that.

Posted on June 24, 2013 8:58 PM

It was fun.

That's great you got to meet James and Mike and Brentalfloss. I don't really know the others. I always wondered why Mike Matei was in so many AVGN episodes and now they do let's plays together. I guess they must be good friends. You really do look like the Joker in that first pic lol. Cool

Fun fact: my ex-girlfriend Sophomore year of college was a huge Harley Quinn fangirl, and referred to me as Mister J. I used that as my DJ name when I had radio practicums.

Brentalfloss is the only one of these guys I'm familiar with and that only a little bit. But sounds like you knew what was going on and had a good time. Awesome. I'd like to go to a convention sometime, though I'd probably find it a tad overwhelming. But if we can work out the logistics (and save up the money), my wife and I are hoping to go to PAX East one of these years.

Posted on June 24, 2013 9:08 PM

No money saving up for me, I got in free, on a friend's invitation. lol The scheduling was a bitch though, had to choose between things I really wanted to go to.

I'm surprised you know brentalfloss before Angry Video Game Nerd and Sessler, both of them are definitely much more well recognized than brentalfloss by quite a wide margin, but brentalfloss is the only one for whom (aside from maybe Spoony, I have to check) I attended all his events, and the guy is awesome, so it's cool you know him.

Posted on June 25, 2013 12:24 PM

The reason I know of Brentalfloss is because he submitted a really funny song to OCRemix. Maybe I'll highlight that one this week on my blog Smile I haven't seen much of his other stuff, though I mean to (I guess I don't get out much lol). Didn't he turn Chrono Trigger into an opera or something?

Posted on June 25, 2013 1:51 PM

Don't know about the Chrono Trigger thing, but he's made two CDs with his games w/lyrics stuff, and I saw him perform Nintendohemian Rhapsody live at the con, so I would not be the least bit surprised.

My favorite song by him is Mega Man 3 death theme w/ lyrics. Hilarious.

And do you mean you don't get in much? I mean I spend most of my days outside now, but it's my lazy "human indoor cat" time that I use to watch this stuff. lol

Posted on June 25, 2013 3:01 PM

Yes lol I suppose I don't get in much. But if I can just remember...when I get home...I'll definitely check out some of his other songs *fingers crossed*

Awesome pics, man. Cool

Posted on June 24, 2013 10:21 PM

Thank you. Cool

Nice COB shirt, Joe. I've been a Sessler fan for quite some time, It'd be neat to meet him.

Posted on June 24, 2013 10:22 PM

Thanks! And Sessler was definitely cool.

Posted on June 25, 2013 9:34 PM

I saw some of Black Nerd's videos yesterday. He's pretty funny,I should watch him regularly. Sessler's Something is such a great podcast. He always picks a topic that I have strong interest in. Tara Long and Max Scoville are always good when they sit around and talk with Adam on the Casual Friday podcast. Their show,Destructoid,is probably my favorite one since X-Play is now gone forever.

Posted on June 25, 2013 9:49 PM

I've actually never heard the Destructoid podcast. Sounds interesting. And yeah, Black Nerd is funny, and he was at the same time as AVGN, so the line was nowhere close to as long. Laughing

Posted on June 26, 2013 9:14 PM

And I know no one other than you from this blog.lol.

Such is the power of internet celebrity. lol

So that's what Spoony did with the red balls from his video review of the Minority report video game! I recall someone on twitter suggested he sign them all and give them away. Looks like he did half that, he didn't seem to keen to sign them all on twitter.

Posted on July 8, 2013 1:53 AM

I got him to sign one, as well as my Batman shirt and Snob DVD. That last one led to good conversation. He did seem upset about the ball though, so I'm not surprised. I guess I can see why, there wasn't really a point, it came off quickly and looked like I could've just written "Spoony" on there myself. lol
