over the top action! I have enough reality as it is.

I like simulators especially flight sims and realistic rpgs so i say realistic.

Considering that I like stuff such as Animal Crossing, Kirby, and Katamari Damacy, it's obvious that I like my games to be as realistic as they can be.

Not too concerned.

I never really think about it. As long as a game is fun, what does it really matter?

Forget realism! I'll take the over-the-top stuff any day.

Except Dark Souls. Dark Souls needs to stay exactly the way it is.

Since I play games to escape reality, I prefer them unrealistic.  Not sure that they have to be over-the-top.  I am not necessarily looking to be Sly Stallone here.

I prefer over the top. Gran Tourismo 5 is the only game I own that is realistic.

I like simulations...  I want a Mario simulator though. 

I like good games, so I'll play something like Heavy Rain even though I normally gravitate towards more fanciful experiences.

 I don't want them to be realistic, but I want the game to have it's own sense of realism and adhere to that. 

Umm over the top for me..Unless it is like forza, then I love to play that.

It depends on my mood. I like variety in my games so I like some realistic, and some not so.

As long as I have a fun and great experience, I don't care if a game is realist or not.

Over-the-top for me. I'll take Serious Sam over COD and Saint's Row over GTA and Burnout over Forza every time.

I support either.  I hate when a game is realistic, and then starts throwing in over the top.  Know your identity from the beginning.  I'm starting to doubt Hideo Kojima, as he had realistic with a bit of over the top.  Now he has over the top with almost no realism.  Makes me sad.

Forget reality (I have a life for that), give me over the top action! I love TMNT (old school), Contra, crazy platformers, brawlers, shooters, anything that is fast and fun! 

I'm not sure. I do like realism if it's a survival horror game but then the monsters in Silent Hill are hardly realistic because they don't exist in the real world, nor do zombies, ghosts, dragons, ..... the list goes on. On the other hand relentless action drives me up the wall. I prefer exploration and puzzle solving.

So is none of the above a choice?

Doesn't matter as long as I have fun. But if we are talking about Mario then over the top it is.

Define "realistic." Are we saying like simulators, or are we talking about how people conflate a darker tone and more serious themes in Batman movies with "realistic." 

In general though, I'd say I tend to prefer over-the-top stuff.

I guess for me it's over the top. May explain why I enjoy games like Crackdown,Saint's Row,and Borderlands so much. Although,realistic games like The Last Of Us have a ton of appeal as well.

Depends on my mood...I really can't pick but that isn't an option so overall I guess I lean towards Over The Top. 

It depends on the genre and even then it depends on how its handled. I love my over the top fighters but I wouldn't mind trying a realistic one.

Somewhere in between. I don't like games that go too over the top, because then it's just too goofy. And releastic games are often too serious and not enough emphasis on the gameplay. And much of the immersion is lost when you patching up bullet-wounds with instant med-kits!

Over the top action! I like gunning down bad guys with big guns to big explosions. It helps quell my pent up frustrations of the world.

Either one have their strengths, so they're cool with me. I like them both equally.
