I just wanted to quick recount what I did in January as far as gaming is concerned. In the end this will just be for my own benefit when I look back on 2014 as a whole. That way I don't have to scour my memories only to forget some of the games that I played throughout 2014.
I finished up two games in January, Killzone Mercenary and Thomas Was Alone. I have already talked about both of those games enough in the past that I will leave them be.
Throughout January I messed around with plenty of other games. I became frustrated with Mutant Mudds Deluxe and worked my way out of Havana in Assassin's Creed IV. I put some time into Risk of Rain and Papers, Please. I also had Cookie Clicker and Candy Box running non-stop throughout the month. The only other game that I put a significant amount of time into in January was Guacamelee. I hope to finish it up in the coming week since I am nearing the end of the game.
As far as February is concerned, I hope to sink more time into Assassin's Creed IV and probably play through Super Metroid again. Those anatomy-of-a-game write-ups get me every time.
I played the demo of Mutant Mudds on 3DS. I had a good bit of fun with it, but don't doubt it could get frustrating easily.
I bought Mutant Mudds on the 3DS.I haven't really played it yet though
I'll be re-playing Prime while you play Super. Also, thanks again for making me aware of Guacamelee sale.
No problem. Even though I have just recently played through all of the Metroid games, I may take a stab at Prime again sometime this year, possibly month. We will see.
All very good games! What system are you playing Risk of Rain on? What did you think of Thomas Was Alone? If you've blogged about it, let me know because I may have missed it. I effing adore that game.
Risk of Rain is only on the PC as far as I know. I wish it was on the Vita or something. I think that it could work very well there.
I blogged about Thomas Was Alone a couple of weeks ago. thomas_was_alone_a_review. Basically I played the game without sound and loved it. Then I found out about the narrator and need to go back to play through it again.
Speaking of Assassin's Creed, I installed the first game on my computer before going to Belgium and brought it here. Can't say much because I only played the tutorial and beginning and I want to concentrate more on Dishonored.
Dishonored is definitely a better game. I would give Assassin's Creed a try, but make sure your expectations are in check.
Having some sort of a summary of the month is super handy come the end of the year. I'm really enjoying Killzone: Mercenary and I think I've almost got it finished. Man, I need to read those anatomoy-of-a-game posts though.
You'd think I'd document all I do in any given month game wise given my blogging habit. Moreso to help me remember all I do during the year, yet for some reason I don't see myself doing such.
Thanks for the idea.
