BaD #06: Hitting the reset button
It’s a good thing that the BaDs are not necessary over the weekend. It gives you the time to take a break and ponder what you’re going to write for this event. Thanks to many comments from readers on IGN, 1up.com (yes I still blog there) and pixlbit, I have some ideas cooking for BaD subjects. But what I really need to do is try to catch up on comment on other BaDs, reading/comment is just as hectic as it is to write blogs right now.
Truth be told I did plan to have some “Bonus BaD” blogs over the weekend but some technical problems prevented me from doing such. For the oddest reason my area internet was seriously throttled down. I don’t know what happened but I was lucky to get email notifications or even send out tweets. It was so bad I could hardly load a webpage let alone upload a photo. I originally thought that perhaps my wireless router or cable modem needed restarting. When that didn’t work I tried to reset them and re-configure my network settings. But in the end nothing worked. My connection was so bad I couldn’t even get Netflix to load. I had to watch *gasp, shock* DVDs!!!
I ended up spending all weekend trying to fix things that I didn’t even write any blogs. Instead I ended up thinking of new subjects to write about in the coming days. Let’s see if they come to fruition. Good thing to since my internet finally decided to work again early this morning. Now you see why I’m against “Constant-On” DRM and Online Pass BS that is hopefully a thing of the past with console gaming now.
Not sure how dramatic my photos will look now given that I’m two days behind in snapping pictures. But here is today’s picture to show you how much “epic beard” growth I got in a little over a week. It’s already begun to feel itchy.

The dude abides ... I should watch DVDs some time. I agree about always-online, I remember our internet going out during XONE fiasco and playing my Gamecube thinking "I'd pay $500 to NOT be able to do this if I bought that thing."

I guess that's the close I'll get. I have the feeling I'm giong to look alot more "bushier" when the month is done.
That's something I'm worried about, too. My Internet connection is normally pretty good, but occasionally it freaks out and nothing I try to fix it works. Maybe it's someone telling me to stay off the Internet on those particular days.
I'm sure that's how we should look at it: the internet is down. Let's do something else like go outside and feel that burning heat from the giant yellowing glowing thing in the sky.
