I really like LEGO. It's a childhood memory that will always stick with me. Screw Mega Blocks and Lincoln Logs...LEGO is where it's at. But it seems to me that LEGO has grown even more and more powerful. I remember when LEGO was just a small little hobby. Nowadays it has TV shows, video games, movies, etc. Having recently watched The LEGO Movie (Hilarious by the way and beautifully animated) I've come to reflect on my LEGO past.

Now I remember when I got my first build your own Star Wars Death star set and Millenium Falcon. It was difficult, challenging, and I definately lost pieces because my death star never looked right...and I think I mixed some pieces in with the falcon. Now fast forward a bit and I grew out of building to build in game...much easier and far less frustrating.

Traveller's Tales and now more recently Warner Bros. Interactive have come to make plenty...and I do mean plenty of LEGO games. You have LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Batman, LEGO Hobbit, Lego, Lego, Lego!!! (No I'm not making this blog to see how many times I can use the word LEGO in a blog) Now I haven't played any LEGO games recently until LEGO City Undercover. I thought they were becoming a bit stale, though I've read that there have been improvements to the formula.

Now I haven't seen the TV shows, but I know of Ninjago because I have nephews who are as infatuated with LEGO as I was when I was their age. But since I have grown so has LEGO...and I'm excited for what the future holds as we continue to build (so to speak). What are your thoughts about LEGO? Comments and features are always appreciated!

I never got into LEGO too much as a kid because the pieces were so small and the sets so expensive.  But I do enjoy the LEGO video games and loved the LEGO movie.

Indeed it was something I just couldn't get into with all those small pieces and losing them everywhere lol

I liked Star Wars sets myself, and loved playing LEGO Island on PC, but I think I had more K'Nex. I do really want to see that LEGO Movie, though.

K'nex is good too. I find it even more complicated than LEGO though. My nephew got a Mario K'nex set and I was like "WTF!? How do you put this together!?"

I did liked to build LEGOs once I knew how to read instructions and I had enjoyed the LEGO games i've played.

yeah even with instructions my 5 year old self couldn't do it lol. I guess that's why I stick with the games lol
