My name... is not important. My goal... is not important either. But it will sure be a lot of fun! As somewhat of a collector of videogames, I have found myself with a growing stack of them which I haven't so much as touched. The pride and joy is my collection of every Nintendo 64 game released in North America, and my New Year's resolution for 2010 is to play every last one of them. From appreciating the amazing advances of the great classics, to crying at just how bad games can get, I'm here to share this experience with the lot of you through a new PixlBit feature titled Tour de 64.
I've spent more quality time with a packet of crisps than I have with many of my Nintendo 64 games. Considering I could munch through a big bag of crisps in five minutes, I came up with a figure of a minimum of thirty minutes for each game, as that seems like enough time to at least make a decent first impression. If I find a game I like and want to continue, I may play further into it, and have a bit lengthier writeup of it. There are 296 games to play, so this could be quite a ride.
Welcome! I can't wait to see what you'll say about a lot of N64 games I played back in the day. Maybe you'll manage to convince me to fish mine out of wherever I've put it to revisit something I played back then.
I really look forward to Tour de 64, especially since the 64 era was one where I had limited access to games. Welcome to the Pixlbit team :)
Moppy? Thou hast forsaken NWR?
Well I knew she was coming over here. She PMed me on NWR about name she should use on here and the name of the feature.
vudu I don't think she has forsaken NWR it is just that she is going to be more busy than before.
Awesome idea... I wonder if they'll make a movie out of it like Julie & Julia.
I know this is late (more than a year late) but I'm happy that you're doing this. I hope you have fun doing this, I know I will have fun reading them.
