Konami announced today that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will also be released in a limited edition for both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. The limited edition of the game will include a 248 page artbook and specialized packaging created by Yoji Shinkawa, the series' lead artist.

According to Konami, the US release of the title, across all editions will feature "Transfarring," wherein players have the ability to transfer game saves between the PS3 and PSP versions of Peace Walker. Alongside Peace Walker, players will have access to both the Substance version of Metal Gear Solid 2, and the Subsistence version of Metal Gear Solid 3, which features the praised right analog stick camera control.

Players can look forward to a ground up remaster that features 1080p graphics, 60 fps, UI tweaks, trophies/achievements, and possible worldwide matchmaking for Metal Gear Online. Both versions of the game will be available in North America this winter.
