Good morning Pixlbit Nation! It is currently 7:57am here in overcast Southern California. We are currently having some rain, which is always fun. Thursday was filled with thunder, lightning, some of the wet stuff, and for some odd reason it was still warm outside. I can’t wait for when the temperature drops below triple digits and hopefully stays in the 70s or what I like to call “sweater weather” (don’t laugh, I see how you folks on the East Coast freak out over 90-100 degree weather.) Currently I am sitting here waiting for 11am EST so I can try and get a pair of the Supreme Jordan V’s. There is no way I’m getting a pair especially since its limited to 1,994 pairs per model but it’ll be fun to try.

Well, we goofed. Due to circumstances beyond our control, this episode of NWP is woefully lacking a second segment. Worry not though, true believers! Starhawk was released yesterday for the PlayStation 3 and with the release of a launch trailer comes this announcement from the PlayStation Blog. Starhawk will have downloadable content in the future and while some will be paid content, the map packs will be free to everyone.

As the spiritual successor to Warhawk, LightBox and Santa Monica Studios hope to evolve online warfare through their PS3 exclusive, Starhawk. The public online beta launched earlier this month for all PS Plus members and will be open to all Uncharted 3 owners on January 31.  The game will be released with a wide variety of online multiplayer modes as well as an offline single player campaign this May.

Starhawk, the successor to 2007's Warhawk on the PlayStation 3, has now been given a release date. Players can get their hands on the new game on May 8, 2012. However, if you don't want to wait that long, you can at least whet your palette with the public beta, which begins today. The news was announced on the PlayStation Blog.

It’s not like we needed any more incentive to pick up Uncharted 3 when it releases on November 1, but Sony has gone and sweetened the pot in an unexpected but pleasant way.
