Happy No Fish Friday Pixlbit Nation! I still miss bacon, but hey one day out of the week isn’t so bad, besides Easter is almost here…right? Anyways the weather here in sunny SoCal has calmed itself. On Tueday and Wednesday there was crazy wind, and it was cool enough for me to use a hoodie. Since it is another fun filled Friday, it’s time for another Quick Hits with Chris. In today’s entry I want to talk about What’s On TV, The US National Team’s new Uniforms and of course Pickups! So if you’re like me, sit back, enjoy that Fillet O’Fish (a couple of weeks left) and let’s get this party started!

Didn't you know that you can only knock out your opponent to win an MMA match?

If you’re going to create a game based on a specific sport, you usually want to make sure it’s replicated properly. Real MMA matches revolve around brutal submissions and painful, high intensity fights, but this is not the case with Supremacy MMA Unrestricted. Here, things are slow moving and tap-outs are impossible, as you merely chip away your opponent’s life bar until you knock them out. Furthermore, despite the varying disciplines of the sport, each and every fighter plays nearly the same, with the exception of grapple-based fighters who are at a distinct advantage. With its inaccurate portrayal and unbalanced roster, you’ll quickly find that Supremacy MMA Unrestricted is not only a bad MMA game, but a bad fighting game as well.

Twenty-five titles available on day one.

This past weekend the PlayStation Vita launched in Japan and did rather well.  With the initial launch of the system now behind us, it’s time to start looking forward to the day when the rest of the world will be able to purchase Sony’s new handheld: February 22, 2012.  Sony had already announced the European launch titles during a Vita event in London a few weeks back and has only just now revealed what the US can expect on store shelves come launch day.
