Knocked off a bunch more in the 360 collection. I was writing down all the digital only games I wanted to play on 360 and came across a lot of them. I own a lot more than I remember and there are ones I missed as well. This is just adding to my "collection" and making getting through 360 a real chore. I passed my usual burnout on year-long gaming projects a month ago, so I think I'm good for the distance now. Here's this week's plays plus a few buys.
Around this time, I like to make a list of games I’m looking forward to in the coming year. Of course, this won’t be a complete list, as there will surely be titles announced throughout the year that we don’t know about yet. Especially with the new Switch 2 console being out and all. Heck, this time last year we didn’t even know when the Switch 2 would be coming out! But these are the ones I know about so far that I want to try. So let’s begin!

Princess Peach Showtime is out and in the game, Peach gets a starring role as she dons new outfits in stage plays. So I thought it might be neat to go through all the outfits she has and what they are like. But keep in mind there may be some spoilers here and there, so watch out for that. With Super Mario Bros. Wonder being recently released, everyone is talking about the new power-up that turns Mario into an elephant! I didn’t realize Mario was such a University of Alabama fan! He DOES wear red all the time, though! Roll Tide, Mario, Roll Tide! Anyway, Elephant Mario isn’t the ONLY elephant in video games, so I thought I’d talk about my other top video game elephants. So let’s stomp our feet and trumpet our nose! These aren’t in any particular order or anything, though.

Hey there, guys. It's that time of year again. I have really dropped the ball this year on blogging because I've been so busy, but I promise I will be more prolific next year (I'm already planning on participating in BAD 2020). So, as I do every year, I'll briefly mention the games I was able to beat this year. As many of you know, I'm a huge Nintendo fan, so these are all Nintendo games (or on Nintendo consoles), and some of them are even retro games (I'm fervently collecting SNES carts). In 2019, I was able to beat 18 games!

Can I be more all over the place? I only need to add that I was about to play Uncharted 3 on PS4 to cover the big three. But I mostly played Forza Horizon 4's lego dlc.
The year is already half over, so it’s that time for me to do my Best Games of the Year SO FAR Awards Show! Most of the big name games come out in the later half of the year during the holiday season, so sometimes the games that come out in the first six months tend to be forgotten. Well this is where those games get their due! Keep in mind that no outside opinions went into making this list, and since it’s my list, if a game didn’t appear on here, I either haven’t played it yet or it just didn’t appeal to me as much. OK with that out of the way, let’s begin!
Normally I do my Game of the Year blog first, and then my blog on what games in 2019 I’m looking forward to. But I’m going to switch it around this year like I did last time. Mainly because there are a couple of releases that are coming up quick, and also I want to try and squeeze a couple more 2018 games in to see if they’ll make my GOTY list. But don’t worry, my Game of the Year blog will go up soon after this one, like in another week or so. In the meantime, here are some games I’m looking forward to playing and reviewing in 2019. Granted there may be more as we get into the year and have Nintendo Directs and E3 announcements and such, but here’s some that I know right now.
I picked up Yoshi's Woolly World today for Wii-U at Gamestop for $16. It's the fourth game in my Wii-U collection alongside Pikmin 3, Zelda Wind Waker HD and Skylanders Superchargers. I still need a Wii-U though. I may have that remedied soon. I'd like to have one for October when I review the years 2010-2014.
It has been a busy week and a half and I haven’t been playing a lot. Whatever free time I find I jump right into my NCAA Football Dynasty so I can finish the current season. I have a solid recruiting class I want to use but I still have the last game of the season, the conference championship and the bowl.
We’re going to do things a little differently this month. Usually at the beginning of January I’ll post my Game of the Year blog, and then I’ll write a blog after that about the games I’m looking forward to in the coming year. But this time we’re going to reverse that and I’m going to do my looking forward blog first. There’s a couple of reasons why I want to do it that way. First, there’s a couple of games that are coming out early this year that I want to put on this list before they’re actually released. And second, I want to wait a bit on my Game of the Year blog so I have time to play a couple of games that came out last year to see if they’ll make my list. So that blog won’t go up until later on in January. Hope nobody minds. Anyway, let’s take a look at some of the games that are coming out next year, at least the ones I know about anyway.
So another Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 for short), one of the biggest video game trade shows, has come to a close. And yet again, I didn’t get to go this year. But that won’t stop me from writing about it! So here’s my takeaway points from this year’s E3.
When a brand-new game console comes out, I like to write a blog about the console that came before it, and talk about my favorite games on it. So now that the Nintendo Switch has been released, I’d like to honor the Wii U and go over my favorite games for that system (not in any particular order).

I played mostly Lego Marvel Avengers on XBO, but I did a little bit of Borderlands 1 and some Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World on 3DS. I'll do the least played first.
My plan, so far, is to play some more Borderlands 2 from The Handsome Collection and then pry myself away from that after a couple hours (usually very difficulty) and play Lego Marvel Avengers, which I just got with my preorder money from Halo Wars 2 (I'm going to rent it instead). But I just noticed that my first rental game on the way is Yoshi's Woolly World for 3DS. Whether it'll get to me by Saturday is a question. If it does, I'll jump right into that first.
