Alongside my PS2 gaming is also me trying to play the handheld out at the time, GBA. I've had trouble getting to it, but this week I got super sidetracked on GBA games. I also touched on PS4 and XSS and bought a bunch of stuff both digitally and at my game stores.

What if I could return to 2012 and do it all over again? What one game would I buy each month of the year? Here's what I came up with.

Happy Halloween!  I’ve got some treats for you all, and no tricks!  More spooky game reviews I’ve recently written over at GamerDad.com!  Well, not very many of them are scary, I write for a family friendly video game site for parents after all.  But please go ahead and read as many reviews as you can, and maybe even post a comment or two.  I’d appreciate it.  OK, let’s begin!

As much as Nintendo struggled with third party support on the N64, especially in Japan, they did have a fair amount of support from one major publisher, Konami. Konami developed and published some of the best output on the system that wasn't made by Nintendo's in-house developers, though they were not without their stinkers.

Money tight? Why not play an amazing game from yesteryear for cheap?

Hello all, April is over. Now we move on from the showers into May. May doesn't seem to be brimming with exciting new titles this month. Rage 2 is probably the highlight. While the original was fairly mixed, maybe this new entry can boost the series. We also have the new kart racer, Team Sonic Racing. I know we have all been waiting for this. While May be a bit light in 2019, it has historically hit some grand slams this generation. Let's take a look.

If you're American, you probably know by now that your Country is maybe not doing so well. If you're a woman, you now have no control over your body. If you're a scientist, you have no control over your tongue. And if you're a Muslim... well, you're no longer American.

Happy cyber Monday! I'm done my shopping for the week. I went to Toys R Us late on Sunday, but didn't get anything. I was looking at Lego Dimensions Story, Level and Fun packs but aside from the Midway level pack, I didn't really feel strongly about any of the rest. The Level Packs were marked down $10 from $30 and that didn't seem all that special either. I'll get it later when I start playing the game. Onward to the week's gaming.

Rip and tear, until it is done!

It is only thirty-eight seconds from the time you begin a new game of Doom before you have a weapon in hand and are blasting demons away. In a world where multi hour tutorials and constant hand holding is the norm, the way that the modern iteration of the classic first person shooter begins is a breath of fresh air. It makes for a stellar first impression, which gives way to one of the most entertaining, fast-paced, and satisfying action game I have played in years.

This is going to sound coming weird coming from me. On 1up, I was that idiot who would whine at everyone who liked Dead Space, proclaiming that it wasn't scary and therefore wasn't a valid form of horror. If you learn anything from this blog, let it be this: 19 year old Blake was a fucking idiot. He didn't like Mass Effect. His favourite game was books. And he totally thought he was better than you as he meandered his way through his first year at college.

Happy Friday from a damp Southern California! Currently there is a break in between showers and before I lose interest and find something to play I figured it is time to write up my next edition of Quick Hits before I go and play some games. Anyone try the stream from PS4 to PC? I played a little last night and I’ll give you my impressions about it on Monday. Anyways it is Friday and its time for the other stuff I like to talk about so let’s get started with Quick Hits!

Doom Ride with Saint's Gat

In keeping with 1994, I played a bunch of Doom II today on Xbox Live. Fun game. I went for achievements right away since I've played it many times before. Remembering all the secrets on level 1 was interesting. After a while my memory was jogged and I got them all for an achievement. Then I was going for the one playing the whole game on next to hardest or better difficulty. Along the way I got the chainsaw kills one and tried to get the berzerk kills one on the first level you have that. Not enough enemies there to do it though. You need 20 within the very short time it's active and you're invincible. Later I found the room where you can get the kill a cyberdemon by punching. There's invincibility globes all around, so it shouldn't be too hard. I got a bit tired of playing it though and stopped.

I figured since my gaming career is on hiatus until Metal Gear Solid V comes out (it would be Batman, but I still only have outdated PC and PS3), I'd take this time to shed some light on other areas of my life, like some of the other bloggers around here.
