Even from the outset, Pseudoregalia proves to be a fascinating game. Visually, it's striking - evoking the PlayStation 1 - you won't see many games that look quite like it these days, and few, if any, are able to pull off the style successfully. Similar to a title on the PlayStation, you're dropped into the game without much fanfare and with only the ability to jump. You have no map to help you navigate, no weapon to defend yourself, and compared to later in the game, extremely limited mobility. Exploring Castle Sansa and its surrounding areas will net you a sword and upgrades to it, as well as myriad upgrades to your movement abilities, enabling you to reach more parts of the castle.
Back in 2022, Pac-Man World: RePac was released. It was a remake of the original Pac-Man World game on PlayStation. I even wrote an article about it here. I encourage you to read that article I wrote because the original Pac-Man World game was a very special game to me as a game reviewer, and the remake was even my Game of the Year in 2022! I wondered if Pac-Man World 2 would get the RePac treatment someday, and this year it did! I didn’t like Pac-Man World 2 as much as the original, but it was still a special game to me and I thought I’d explain why in this article, and go over my thoughts on the RePac version of this game as well.

Good morning Pixlpeeps from a cool morning here in Hawaii. Tomorrow will be two weeks since I got here and I have to say it’s been nice to just casually wake up and not have the stress of moving hanging over your head. I refuse to get on local time, so I’ve been getting up around 4-5am here which is 6-7am in California. It’s quiet, I open the window and you hear some of the neighbors in their cars going to work. During this time I started playing a new game that everyone is playing….Wordle.
Took some time on Tuesday to deliver a game to my friend and then stayed and played some games. Here's what I did.
The Game Boy- created by the late Gunpei Yokoi- was Nintendo's first handheld system to mix the portability of the Game & Watch with the seemingly infinite possibilities of interchangeable cartridges. Although Tetris was the pack-in game with every unit, Nintendo still wanted to have at least one title in the 1989 launch lineup that their consumer base would instantly recognize.
So...late October was my last post date? Good to know that nothing has changed. We're about to enter the last week of February so let's see if I can make an effort to blog more before BaD 2021 wraps up.
Oh boy, oh boy, it's comics day again! I found some good ones this time. I even had some Hope's Cookies too afterward. It's been a while since I did that. I was a little bit afraid of the sugar rush, but gladly it didn't happen. So let's see what I got as well as my progress with Doctor Strange Epic Collection Vol. 4.
Good morning Pixlpeeps! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe July 4th! We had no fireworks show in my little town but I did watch a bunch of people shoot off some crazy fireworks all around. The family across the park from me had their legal fireworks that just spin on the ground and a bunch of sparklers. I celebrated in my usual style because I am a product of one of those families who came here years ago looking for a better life and I am forever grateful.

After conquering 2018 with the hyper-realistic open-world cowboy simulator, Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar has certainly not been resting on its laurels. As many of you now know, the highly anticipated hyper-realistic open-world crime simulator, Grand Theft Auto 6, has been announced. Thanks to the hundreds of hits my writing for PixlBit has amassed over the past nine years and the runaway popularity of my podcast, Nerds Without Pants (tens of satisfied listeners!) I was given an exclusive look at this upcoming juggernaut. Don’t worry, I got hands-on with this sure to be life-altering video game months before the Covid-19 epidemic. Now that my embargo has been lifted, the story can be told at last!
So as I am sitting here waiting for a load of laundry to finish, while many many loads of laundry still wait I feel it’s time to update you good people…also I love you all but you need to stand…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………this far away from the screen (just in case). So let’s see if I can remember what I’ve been playing.

This week’s gaming included two long deathful sessions with Witcher III and Minecraft, then a crashing demo and a deathful indie game.
Hey there, guys. It's that time of year again. I have really dropped the ball this year on blogging because I've been so busy, but I promise I will be more prolific next year (I'm already planning on participating in BAD 2020). So, as I do every year, I'll briefly mention the games I was able to beat this year. As many of you know, I'm a huge Nintendo fan, so these are all Nintendo games (or on Nintendo consoles), and some of them are even retro games (I'm fervently collecting SNES carts). In 2019, I was able to beat 18 games!
I jumped around a lot today. I looked through a list of games in the Xbox store labeled as sims and downloaded a few and tried them out.
Like so many other children of the ‘80s, I love Stranger Things. Booting it up is like taking a time machine back to my childhood. The pervasive synth music, the wardrobes and the cultural references instantly transport me, making it easier to get sucked into the day-to-day of Hawkins and the ever-creepy world of the Upside-Down. And just like a true ‘80s property, there’s also a tie-in video game to go along with the latest season of the show. Thankfully this tie-in isn’t quite as low budget as as the Atari 2600 and NES tie-ins of yesteryear, but the dungeon crawling brawler pales in comparison to the electrifying viewing experience offered by the show, especially this latest season.
Welcome to my last review of Nintendo's portable consoles. Today, I'll be talking about the 3DS, the little portable that could. It's been a wild ride with this system. From its not-so-humble beginnings to its numerous incarnations, and now, its slow walk into the sunset, it's had a good 8 years now. I'll be honest, the last time I bought a game for the thing was in 2014. Still, I did have a lot of fun with the system. It just felt like to me that it burned bright for only a short time. Developer support for 3rd party kind of dropped off. Plus, Nintendo's offerings felt more like afterthoughts because they were busy trying to push forward with the Wii U, and the versions of games offered were often watered down experiences from its big brother counterpart after the first few years. Still, I recognize that the market was strong even after I stopped playing it, and the target audiences were those that could not afford a home console. So let's get to it. But first, a meme:
Hamster's most recent release of its Arcade Archives this week is a 1982 game called Pooyan, by Konami.
I wish I could say I spent the majority of my weekend playing games that explore random galaxies, taking out the bad guy, racing, or at least driving around a copy of Los Angeles in the Batmobile listening to 90s Gangsta Rap (gotta love mods in GTA V) but instead I’ve been playing Gems of War. Yeah a match three game.
Every time I play Xevious on one of Namco’s "museum" compilations, I can’t help but reminisce about the time when I first discovered the game in 1992 on the Atari 7800 (a system which also familiarized me with other Namco classics outside of Pac-Man). Back then, our family couldn’t afford the Super NES or Sega Genesis. So, in a move of what I think was out of pity, a friend of ours gave us her 7800 with a huge bag full of games. While rummaging through the cartridges, I came across the little oddity known as Xevious. It was probably the first game I had heard of that started with an “X”, and the name intrigued me. I quickly fell in love with the unique enemy designs and mysterious land structures peppered throughout the game.
So we're entering another year, with another round of games, another BaD, and another round of GOTY blogs.
I beat 14 games this year guys! I still...bought...alot....but I did atleast conquer some of the ones I did buy. Thats a plus....right?
