So this big news of today is that Fable Legends is cancelled and Lionhead is possiably being closed. Im sort of sad about this news. I did like the Fable series, at least the 1-3 titles. I wasnt overly happy with the title they were currently making nor did the Kinect title impress. I watched a sibling play it, it was not amusing nor fun. I really wanted a new game in the Hero line but nope, not happening and it possiably might not happen ever. I have no idea what will happen to the series now. I figure Microsoft will still hold it rights of course but whether they will use it is the big question. So for now at least Its goodbye Fable. You had your faults but overall I enjoyed you.

Just looking at my 3DS XL notifications after coming home from work tonight. Looks like I got six all at once when I went to this Hotel. I had four from earlier in the week, so now I'm maxed out with 10. Weehoo! Time to play some Mii Plaza games.

First it was Halo now Gears. What other game franchises does Microsoft own now? Well, a lot. Just to name a few are: Age of Empires, Crackdown, Fable (‘cause they own Lionhead), and all the games by Rare and Twisted Pixel (‘cause they own them too). Microsoft has partnered with many developers as well including formerly Sony exclusive Insomniac Games who are now going to release Sunset Overdrive later this year for Xbox One.

There are so many interesting games coming in 2014, I had to limit my forward looking to the current season. December was barren and January is sparce, but February is going to be packed full of interesting stuff. I can't wait. The preorder frenzy has begun!

Lofty promises and vague ideas that have little to do with video games--Molyneux is back!

Peter Molyneux has always been known for thinking outside the box. The man behind Populous and Black and White found huge success with Fable on the Xbox, and ended up working on the franchise for nearly a decade, including the upcoming Kinect game, Fable: The Journey. Molyneux has since moved on from Lionhead Studios, the company he helped found in 1997, and has gone to work for 22 Cans. Molyneux revealed today that 22 Cans is working on 22 unique “experiments,” the first of which is set to be released in only six weeks from now.

Good thing, too, since you can find a lot of commentary on gaming news in this week's PB & Jason. Things like the real story of Peter Molyneux's departure from Lionhead Studios. Other things, like Sonic 4: Episode 2's Wii woes. Don't forget information on why Cliff Bleszinski thinks on-disc DLC is a necessary evil! Of course, there is more than all this in PB & Jason 83, but to hear the rest, you'll have to click through to find the podcast's download links.

Microsoft's European arm now headed by former competitor.

Peter Molyneux shocked the gaming world last week when he resigned from his posts at Lionhead and Microsoft’s European gaming arm.  It was only logical that Lionhead Studios' co-founder would take up Molyneux’s position there, but Microsoft went another route entirely.

That’s not to say that nothing new is coming out of Albion, however; we’ve learned that a new Fable spinoff is in the works.
