Well, well, well...I have seemingly vanished like someone who seems to be very busy in real life. And you would be correct. Life has taken me for a real ride, but I have good news that I am in fact alive and kickin'. I even bought more games for my Wii U! And even better is Mario Kart 8 is coming soon! I know I'm excited. So now my Wii U games list includes Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, Rayman Legends, Resident Evil Revelations, Super Mario 3D World, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Black List, and Warriors Orochi 3.

Here we are, Blog a Day 2014! I have a series of things to talk about, but for today it's a wrap up of last month. I'm at the mercy of tradition!

Well it's about 6 am right now and I decided why the heck not post in the waking hours of the morning when it's still dark out. Anyways what do I blog about? I guess anything is up in the air. Well lets discuss a little about me. My name is Jon....as if you couldn't guess. I also like Nintendo. (Well duh get on with it you say!) Alright alright...well since the Wii U has been out for a year I figured I'd post my thoughts about it since I managed to buy it and some games. All in all everything cost me $500 plus tax. You might be wondering just what I got well I figured as much so I will tell you.

So you want to try bringing fists to a gunfight...

Being a tough guy is hard, but being a badass can be even tougher unless you follow my lead, of course. Anyone can claim to be badass, but more often than not their badassery can’t hold up when it’s truly tested. I, however I am the complete embodiment of all that is badass in video games, and it’s time for me to share some of my knowledge with you all. You may think you’re hot stuff, and you may think you’re tough, but in reality you’re only an apprentice.

Been putting off doing another one of these, but figured now would be a good time to post all the reviews I've been writing between now and April.

If a ninja chops off my arm with his sword, I'm probably just going to run away instead of going all suicide bomber on him.

Sometimes, you’ll come across a game series that people adore, but you just don’t get why. Oh, you’ll try, of course. You’ll read the glowing reviews, check out gameplay videos, and listen to people rave about it on podcasts. Yet try as you might, you just don’t click with it, and you feel like you’re missing out. That’s the way I’ve always felt about the modern Ninja Gaiden games. Still, as beloved as this franchise is, after playing Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge I just have to wonder if I’m really missing something here, or do diehard fans see how messed up this game is?

Ok, I know this isn't saying too much right now as the Wii U isn't exactly doing the greatest. However after seeing Nintendo's E3 showings, I had to have one. Stuff like a new 3D Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart won me over. I don't have too much at the moment, but so far I have Zombie U, New Super Mario Bros 2, Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge, Lego Undercover, and the download version of Nintendo Land. Im also waiting for Tekken Tag 2, Transformers Prime, Batman Arkham City, and Sonic Sega All Stars Racing Transformed to come in the mail. Although my playtime with the system has been limited due to work, my initial impression of it is a good one. In fact, the system reminds me a lot of the 3DS. It had some great software at launch, but they were mostly ports of older games and not really system sellers. By this time next year im confident that will change.

Let’s face it, video game bosses come in all forms. Big or small, fast or slow, multi-staged, QTE’d, etc. Most games have them, some easy and some incredibly frustrating. But beating a boss into oblivion has always been my favorite aspect of video games.

Sorry for the delay in blogs, life tends to get in the way plus videogames too. Lately I've been playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+ on the PS Vita, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge on the WiiU, Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite. Not to mention a collection of games that I've downloaded to my iPad Mini. Anyways, here is a bunch of sketches that I've done in the past month....

It's been a while since I pimped my stuff at Rotorob, so rather than provide you guys with fresh new content, I'm just going to regurgitate the crusty month old reviews I haven't posted here yet.

When I first saw the Wii-U at Nintendo's Press Event last year at E3, I was pretty amazed. The controler looked cool to me, and the possibilities seemed endless. The way that action can seemlessly transfer from the controller to the screen was something that I hadn't seen before. Not to mention, the whole idea of having a DS-like experience on your TV is great. A Touch screen for item management, maps, and alternate views would make the gaming experience much easier. Not to mention things were being discussed that I hadn't thought of before. Imagine playing a driving game, and while driving, an accident happens to you left, and instead of turning on the main screen, you look to your left with the controller. You can pretty much see things that arn't on screen. Its an exciting feature in my opinion. The promise of a new Smash Brothers that would be compatable with a handheld version for the 3DS made my insides warm and fuzzy. And then there was the Zelda HD concept demo *squeals*

Last Wednesday, I noticed an unusual bombardment of the evils of the world and the negativity that infests our daily lives. The world is by no means perfect but we all are relatively desensitized in order to handle the usual problems we deal with everyday and the bad news constantly at the top of the docket in the news. However, with the news of a person who used Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to train for mass-murder, the sad news of Adam Sessler leaving G4 and my fellow PixlBit writer Angelo Grant feeling that IGN is bad for gamers (along with other non video game related things like my friend complaining about the lack of diversity in television with me over Facebook), I had to take a step back and do something positive because I had by this point became rather glum and depressed. To quote one of my own tweets, "Need some positivity right now. Listening to my 70s Summer Breeze mix while writing some video game announcement news." That was no mistake either. I purposely chose to write up the Uncharted 3 GOTY and Resistance trilogy story because those were positive stories. Also, listening to America, Seals and Crofts and Ambrosia will always mellow you out.

In this installment of Ninja Gaiden you’ll get to slice down your enemies again, and again, and again…

There isn’t much Ryu Hayabusa can’t do, he’s a frickin’ ninja after all, but in his latest outing it’s apparent that even a master death dealer’s job can get a bit monotonous after a while.
