Hi, I'm Jason Ross, you might remember me from PixlBit's PB & Jason, PixlBit's Playbits, or just various articles from some time ago around the site. I'm back! But not quite in the same way. I've got myself a fancy PC built to stream just about anything! And... as it is such, so it is such, you're all invited to join me.
I've got a new Mario Maker stage! I really like this one, too. It's called Lost Luggage, and you'll have to check it out to see why!
We call a livestreamed game with a live chat and potential Skype-in for listeners a PlayBit here at PixlBit. They're something we've done on and off again. Before, sadly, PlayBits never gained too much traction or attention, but now that the PixlBit community has really started growing, it's something we've been talking about behind the scenes. PlayBits have mostly been done by two people, JD and me.
Tune in at some point after midnight EDT Sunday morning for Wii U PlayBits! What's that mean? I'll be playing the Wii U LIVE for much of this coming Sunday, and likely Monday and Tuesday. Expect to see New Super Mario Bros. U and Epic Mickey 2 at least, but you'll also likely get to watch some Nintendo Land and maybe other games! Keep an eye open for more details as the Wii U launch approaches.
I'm thinking about doing a Halloween PB & Jason PlayBit, but I'm not sure what game I'd use. Please note these plans are tentative, so I might just do a PB & Jason recording, rather than a PlayBit. Give me some game suggestions that aren't survival horror, but could still fit the Halloween theme, and we'll see what happens.

Well, here we are again. Today, PixlBit celebrates its 3rd Anniversary, an achievement I'm quite proud of. A little more than three years ago, Chessa and I poured our heart and soul into the creation of this website. Built from nothing, PixlBit slowly secured its place in the gaming media, and is now the site that stands before you. We've had ups and downs, several rewrites, and many staff members, but somehow we've made it this far and there's no stopping us now.
So far, Mass Effect 3 is my favorite game this year. Despite all of the controversy, Mass Effect 3 provided me with a great gameplay experience, coupled with a narrative unlike any other. The characters and story were some of the most engrossing that I've ever expereinced. Never before have I played a game where characters came alive the way they did. Garrus, Tali, Ashley, Joker and EDI, i could go on for a while about how great the characters are but thats besides the point. Anyway, the reason why we are here is because of the one thing that makes ME3 questionable in the eyes of the public...Its Ending.

The long awaited DLC that is meant to clear up and expand upon the controversial endings to Mass Effect 3 is on the horizon. Due out Tuesday, June 26, the Extended Cut DLC will expand upon the ending that left so many people in an uproar for weeks after the initial release of the game.

Saying Diablo III one of the most highly anticipated games of the year would be accurate but calling it the fastest selling PC game ever would be irrefutable. The sequel--12 years in the making--has sold a record breaking 6.3 million copies in the week since its launch, with 3.5 million copies being sold in the first 24 hours alone.

Join us in this PlayBit special as we show just how fun the demonic uprising can be. Get ready and grab some popcorn cause the action starts at 9 EST tonight!

This week's PB & Jason covers a lot of ground. It starts with the shock of a popular two-month-old game that can be found at half its original retail price. It ends with a twisted DLC idea that could become the follow-up to retailer-exclusive DLC. In the middle? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Simpsons, PlayBits, New Super Mario Bros. Mii, Pikmin 3, and Nintendo's approach to DLC with the Wii U. To hear the podcast, you'll have to click through to find the podcast's download links.

Double Dragon is one of those games that everyone has played, or at least heard of. From its humble beginning as an arcade brawler, the franchise has gone on to make an appearance in some form in almost every console generation. The original title was ported to nearly every available system at the time, including the Atari 2600 in 1988. (And you thought this console generation was long!) Brothers Jimmy and Billy have been in one on one fighting games, have teamed up with the Battletoads on the SNES, and had the Double Dragon world predominantly featured in a completely over the top fan tribute to the NES called Abobo’s Big Adventure. Needless to say, Majesco and WayForward have some pretty big shoes to fill.

Join Esteban, Angelo, Matt M., and Jason for a special Monday Night PlayBit. The four of us played a game we remember fondly from our collective childhoods, having grown up around ninjas, mutant turtles, arcades, and NESs. Our goal? Get as close to beating the XBLA version of the classic TMNT arcade game in one go with very limited lives. Spoiler Alert: On a trial run, the gang nearly made it to the end! By any chance, were you wondering what your Uncle Matt was thinking? Of course you weren’t, but here they are anyway.
You may or may not be aware, but before the middle of december, I did live playbits, which is kind of like live "Let's Play," just about once a week here on PixlBIt, often on Monday nights. From the middle of the month of December, I've been busy and away from home, so I haven't been able to complete my Super Mario Bros. 3 playbit quite yet.

The Final Fantasy XIII-2 demo will be hitting Xbox Live and PSN next week. North American PSN users will get the demo on January 10 and Xbox Live users will see it a day later on January 11. The full game releases about two weeks later on January 31, so this gives gamers plenty of time to test it out.

We've all played this one (I hope). Super Mario Bros. 3. It's one of the top-selling games of all time, even before being rereleased. Mario first dons a power-up that lets him fly, there are colorful, challenging stages that are well designed, and there's even something of a fun and interesting narrative throughout the game. SMB 3 is a classic, and now I invite you to join me as I play through some of Super Mario Bros. 3.

Join Jason Ross as he plays through the latter half of Super Mario 64 to defeat Bowser tonight! Call-ins will be accepted to the PixlBit skype account, PixlSkype. Catch you tonight!
