I played a lot of digital titles this week and stuck with almost none of them (no respawns) but enjoyed myself quite a bit. Also some disc-based ones I did stick with a little longer.
First two I played for Game Pass rewards. The rest trying to clear up my harddrive. That 111GB Forza Horizon 5 has installed but is not playable yet. That's a lot of Gigabytes - the new norm I'm told for triple-A games.
Well, I downloaded Rage from GamePass via the GamePass app on my phone a few days ago and it was ready today on my console (ah, future tech), but I played Borderlands 1 with MadKrammer instead. It's knd of hard for me to resist co-op when it's available.
I've got to give it to Quiz & Dragons, a 1992 arcade game. I've never played an RPG quiz board game! Well, okay, the RPG aspects are really light. It has a generic fantasy setting and each of the characters (barbarian, wizard, amazon warrior, and ninja) have a special ability that will randomly come into play. There is no leveling or stats or anything like that. The board game is pretty superficial as well. A big digital die determines how many spaces you move and while there are a few branching paths, it's mostly just a series of trivia fights. That's the game, basically. Each enemy requires a certain number of correct answers to defeat and your character loses a life with each wrong answer. While the stages do change aesthetically, the fights are all the same, even for the bosses. The questions really date the game too. While I did very well on the history and science questions (and merely okay on the plethora of United States trivia lol), the '70s and '80s minutiae killed me. Who starred in this TV show, who won that Oscar, what team drafted so and so. My gosh, SO MANY baseball questions!

It’s no secret to the people at PixlBit that I am a huge fan of the Saints Row series. The last two games are among my favorite games from the last generation, and I eagerly await the next chapter in the increasingly bonkers tale of the Third Street Saints. In the interim, I am certainly interested in Agents of Mayhem, a spinoff of Saints Row that seeks to blend the over the top humor and gameplay from that franchise with the character and special powers of squad based shooters like Overwatch. After playing the game at E3 I am still interested, but I also have some concerns.
Disclaimer: Some of my earliest memories are of playing the original Kingdom Hearts. Needless to say, the series is incredibly important to me and I have a strong opinion on it. Despite this, I will attempt to remain as objective as possible during this review.
Greetings and salutations Pixlbit! I hope all of you have had a great week so far. I just started my third Marketing class this week and I just finished my assignment so now I have time to post on here. Recently I got some games to try out but might end up keeping some.
So 2016 is here and while its looking at the moment to be another promising year 2015 did do well in itself. I think Next Gen did pick up and is finally making good track speed. I also even think the Wii U has done the best by far in itself. If you didnt buy one, then you missed out on some good games. This is my Top 10 list of games released this year.
Mark and I spent quite a bit of time in Gears of War: Judgment today, but i think both of us have had enough. Then I popped in Namco Museum Virtual Arcade and played Sky Kid and Sky Kid Deluxe, and then finally got started on Stacking. Details below.

I think that Capcom is on to something with the Revelations spin-off series for Resident Evil. I enjoyed the first game a lot because of how it blended the feel of the traditional, horror based Resident Evil games with the action packed nature of the more recent games. After being disappointed by Resident Evil 6, I was down on the series but I still couldn’t help but be excited when I heard that a sequel to Revelations was in the works. And to my delight, Revelations 2 delivers.
Day # 2: Captain's Log...I'm lost somewhere in space. Stars all around, but I cannot figure as to what my location is. I'm becoming paranoid. It's quiet in space...too quiet. Almost eerie...almost...alien. A glow presents itself in my quarters. What is it? It beckons to me. This light....feels strange. I go towards the light. I open the door. Upon my desk...sits an evil...

A plucky thief with a heart of gold arrives outside a small village. Using her companion, a scraggly mutt, she distracts the guards at the gate and sneaks into the nearby sewer entrance. Upon her arrival, she picks a few pockets to gather what she needs, and prepares to leave when a drunken man in plate mail being harassed by the henchmen of the town butcher, a local crime boss of sorts, stumbles onto the scene. A few backstabs later, and our thief now has a new partner, but her canine companion has been kidnapped by the butcher’s men, and they’re off to liberate him.
I broke 40,000 achievement points last weekend while playing CastleStorm, so I thought I'd recall some of my recent favorite achievements.
I feel a bit guilty producing this part of the countdown. I realize just how little I remember about games on this part of the list. Fully half of them- I couldn't recall even one memorable moment. These are the games that aren't broken or even particularly bad; they just don't have much to recommend them. If you are paying attention and reading these blurbs that I've worked on so dilligently, you'll be hearing that fairly often until around the top 150. I recall playing them; I recall having opinions; I just don't recall a damn thing about them. If I didn't keep all my old notebooks, I might not have been able to cobble together a coherant list that ranks them in relation to one another. Meh. When I return to the top 100, the blurbs will become more informative. Until then, I'm glad I could help you waste five minutes.
I know that this game isn't really retro (it came out in 2006), but it's a remake of a game that IS retro, the original FFIII being released in Japan in 1990. It feels like classic final fantasy, and that's a good thing.

Mascot games are kind of my thing. Mario, arguably the first ever platform “mascot” (with all apologies to Pitfall Harry and Pac-Man), is the dude that lured me into a lifelong obsession with video games in the first place. I gobble up practically every one I come across and among them the Sly Cooper games have remained a stand-out franchise. With a trilogy of games hitting the PlayStation 2, it seemed only natural that Sly would find his way to the PlayStation 3. But with Sucker Punch moving on to inFAMOUS it seemed any hope of a current generation Sly game would be going up in smoke. Thankfully Sanzaru, developer of the acclaimed HD trilogy treatment, stepped up to the plate and took the series in its charge. Could they regain Sly’s former glory?

Today at Gamescom 2012, Capcom officially announced a brand new IP set in futuristic Neo Paris, known as Remember Me. The title, which has been announced for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, will star a female protagonist known as Nilin who is described as a “memory hunter.”
