A couple days ago, Mark had The MEG and we watched it. Fun movie. Totally rediculous but not as wacky as Sharknado. Effects were pretty great. Jason Statham was good. I spotted a woman who was in one of the John Wick movies as a badass martial arts villain. The love interest of Statham's character was in Pacific Rim. I don't know what else to say about it. Popcorn movie. Get it while it's hot.

The one where Julian trolls Angelo after the fact during editing.

Hey, it’s a bonus episode of Nerds Without Pants! Oh, you lucky people. Basically, we’ve fallen behind on Consumption Junction stuff, so we got together to catch up on a bunch of games, media, and crazy tangents. Enjoy!

And so is this podcast!

Hey folks! Welcome to another technical issue-laded episode of Nerds Without Pants. Apoligies, but once again the internet has conspired against us, and this episode is not up to our normal standard of quality. Hopefully you stick around though, because there is some good stuff in this episode!

There is something for everybody in this very special NWP. Also: Statham Sightings(tm)!

The weather has improved dramatically this month. We've had over a week of no snow storms, and the weather has made it to freezing or just above for the last couple of days. Woohoo! And I will be starting back at the park in 19 days. YAY! Not much going on for excitement, other than Bandit being firmly convinced that the field is a puppy-swallowing wasteland and not to be trusted. I've packed down a trail going out to the trails in the woods behind the house with my snowshoes, but he keeps stepping off the packed-down part and then flounders around in the deep snow and panics. He then heads back for the porch and looks at me like I'm trying to get him killed. Silly dog.

This episode is a super rare limited edition that will be worth big bucks some day. Trust us!

They said we’d never make it! They said we’d fail after a couple episodes! They said we wouldn’t survive, and yet here we stand, defiant! Okay, maybe nobody ever said that, but I sure as shootin’ didn’t expect to be posting the 50th episode of Nerds Without Pants! We do things in style with the biggest assembly of pantsless nerds yet. Fan favorites Erika Szabo and John Gholson join us to celebrate this huge milestone.

This one's on you, PixlBits!

Well, look who decided to show up! Angelo is back, and he’s here just in time for an awesome edition of Nerds Without Pants brought to you by…you! Yep, this episode was orchestrated by the awesome PixlBit community, and it’s kind of special.

Hey there, PixlBits! So, we've had a lot of unique episodes of Nerds Without Pants lately, but it's time to get back to our regular format. If you're not a regular listener to the show, that would be the opening Consumption Junction segment where we talk about whatever geeky media we've consumed, and then a core topic that's related to gaming in some way.

If Michael Bay made a video game, this would probably be it.

Call of Duty: Ghosts set out to be a fresh start for Infinity Ward. In some ways it is just that – Ghosts introduces a brand new story line that will undoubtedly take them a few titles to complete as well as a few game types in multiplayer that are new to the Call of Duty mold. When all is said and done though, this latest entry doesn’t draw me back to the series and if anything, it only proves why the formula has grown so stale over the past few years.

Boldly going where pantsless nerds have gone before.

Let's get right to it, people. There's no time to talk about current media we've been consuming, because this episode of NWP is an epic look back at the seventh console generation and a bit of a look forward at the eighth generation. So sit back, strap in, and get comfy, folks!

What do you get when you have two college graduates and a product of the Texas public school system? A pretty intelligent conversation, actually.

It's Friday, which means it's time to take your pants off and listen to another wonderful episode of NWP! The guys run the gamut of geekdom this week, with talk about anime, art books, Shin Megami Tensei IV, and the greatest Jason Statham move ever made: Saints Row IV.

Follow the white rabbit.

For me to properly articulate my feelings on Saints Row IV, I think you need to know a little bit about my taste in movies. I greatly enjoy quiet little indie films like The Science of Sleep, Once, and Closer. I find them to be wonderful palate cleansers from all of the big budget action flicks that come out every summer. However, some of my favorite movies of all time are what I can only describe as “stupid”; stuff like Crank 2 and UHF starring the one and only “Weird” Al Yankovic. While these movies are lacking in artistic merit, they are immensely entertaining to me, and that’s exactly how I feel about Saints Row IV: a game that gleefully throws the “are games art” question out the window.

Hello all, I just wanted a quick word.

Come in, kick your shoes off, and set a spell.

Hello there. I’m Julian, and I’m ostensibly the previews guy around PixlBit, but lately I’ve been doing a lot of reviews, podcasts, and features, so that’s kind of a less than truthful title. I’m writing this piece, and it’s a bittersweet thing to do. On one hand, we’re seeing an influx of new members to PixlBit, and I couldn’t be happier to see that. So, welcome, one and all! I just wish that influx wasn’t the result of 1up getting shuttered. With that being said, I’d like to explain a little about our roots in 1up, and take you new readers and contributors on the grand tour. Please, join me.

We were violent before we played video games.

We may have missed an episode, but we’re making it up to you this week with a bonus episode that gets us back on track. Even though we only recorded a week ago we have some games to talk about, including Sleeping Dogs, Final Fantasy VII PC, and Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.

BOOM! Headshot!

Welcome to the next edition of PixlTalk! This week, Patrick takes the reins of the Tri-Force show to talk about the modern day shooter. But before we delve into that heady subject, we talk about recent games we've been playing. New and hot releases like Alan Wake's American Nightmare, SSX, and Mass Effect 3 come up, along with random stuff like Batman: Arkham City, Bulletstorm, and Snoopy's Street Fair. Yeah, the Tri-Force crew is down with the Peanuts, big whoop, wanna fight about it?
