Let’s face it: while Microsoft has plenty of lost ground to make up for, Sony has been sitting pretty since the beginning of the 8th console generation. Even with the waves being made by the Nintendo Switch, there probably isn’t much that Sony needs to do to keep their position in the market secure. So their E3 presentation this year was a deliberate, measured, and comprehensive volley of games, even if there was little to surprise viewers.

Halloween is here! A time of all kinds of scary things like werewolves, zombies, and diabetes! Not to mention plenty of great games. Whether you want something fun and lighthearted, something that will scare the pants off you*, or something in the middle, the Pixlbit staff has you covered as we talk about our favorite Halloween video games!
Another year down! Which one was this? 2007? 12? Oh yeah, 2014. I still have a hard time believing it was 2014, let alone that it's over. But let's get on with this, shall we? First up are all the games I beat this year and then how many I bought or somehow acquired (don't worry, I don't list those specifically). Be sure to stick around for the Golden Hippo Awards after that!
Good Friday Morning Pixlbit Nation! It is a gloomy Friday Morning here in Rainy Southern California. Yes, it is true Southern California doesn’t deal well with weather that isn’t triple digit hot, or in the 70s. Anything that falls out of the sky people tends to forget the rules of the road. I blame Hipsters. So I am typing this while listening to my “Not Heard Christmas Music” playlist and I have to say some of the songs people write for the holidays are not that great, along with some of the covers of songs that I like. It’s an odd thing but that’s just me. Anyways so it is Friday, and I need to make a few calls this morning (I’m waiting for a couple of businesses to open) and I have to run down to the Post Office to mail out my stuff for the baby cousins, so we need to get this edition of Quick Hits up and running!
May was a good month for games! At least for me. I've had far too many games going at once these last couple of months and I've finally finished most of them (there are a few stragglers). And not too many new games!

It's 2014, and the Pantsless Ones are back! Well, Angelo and Patrick had to wear layers for this recording, as they were smack dab in the middle of BLIZZARD 2014(tm)!
It's a little late but I felt like doing this anyway. I don't really have a numbered top 10 because I don't feel that strongly about the games that would be at the bottom of the list. I also don't have an order for most of these. I have a clear #1 and a top 5 but that's about it. I'm just going to jump right into my #1 game of 2013.
I wanted to write something on why exactly I hate the game Beyond so much. In a year I wasn't reviewing games it would easily be on my list of worst games that year, but now that I'm playing some real shit year round, I'm not even sure if it will make my bottom five. Yet in the same way I thought Assassin's Creed 3 represented everything wrong with AAA video games, Beyond: Two Souls does so in a different way. And let me be clear: The low interactivity has nothing to do with it. Ace Attorney became one of my favorite series this year and save Miles Edgeworth (which ironically is one of the weaker entries), they have even less interactivity than Beyond. Yet they are still infinitely better games than Beyond.
So we got these two consoles coming out within two weeks apart. And all I want to do is ask, can we not compare how X multiplatform game compares between the PS4 and Xbox One? I mean, it's got to the point where you can barely tell it as is and a high end PC will look better than both of them anyway. It's just not going to prompt any discussion, so while the rest of the internet goes on tangents about it, can we just keep the comparisons between current and next gen differences if we do have them so we can focus on the games themselves?
This past week was kind of rough on me. My grandmother passed away last week so over the weekend I was in Alabama for the funeral and stuff. She was really talented and artistic, and she was even a gamer, too! So I wrote a blog because I wanted to brag about her. I hope you get a chance to look at it, as well as some other reviews I’ve written over the past month.
First off, let me just say how insane 2013 looks. This is one of the craziest Falls I have seen in a long time, for me at least. So I thought I'd put the games that look at least good enough to pick up around day one for now for the rest of the year.
I will be blogging much more often on my own personal site going forward. It's for the best. I like Mr. DiMola and I don't want to do anything that would anger him. We need more nice guys like him on video game websites.
The Last of Us was an incredible fun and unique experience that had a lasting story. I love creative and unique experiences. There is a lot more new IPs coming on current and next gen titles. Here are ten titles I am excited to play this year.
