Blog a Day #12 and #13

It’s the first episode of Nerds Without Pants recorded in the new year, and that only means one thing: Game of the Year, baby! We shake things up just a bit this year, listing our top ten games that we played in 2021, as opposed to the usual top five. There are some big surprises in there, for sure!
Let’s start 2022 off right with some reviews I’ve written recently at GamerDad.com. Please click on the reviews and read as many as you like, and maybe even post a ‘like’ or comment or two. I’d appreciate it. OK let’s begin!
Another year down! What? You don't want to talk about 2021? Can't say I blame you. How about games? First we'll take a look at the games I beat and bought and then we'll move onto the Golden Hippo Awards!
It’s 2022 and this is the first Monday of the new year. Good morning Pixlpeeps! There is a lot happening on my end right now so I’m a little (a lot) preoccupied with bigger things, but it is what it is. I did however say that I am going to be here more and it is the new year so I’m here. So a quick update of what’s been going on:
It's been quite a year! I played a ton of games this year, and there were plenty of games that I wanted to play that I didn't get to (too many games!). Some of those games will roll over into next year. For 2021, I beat a total of 25 games! Instead of talking about all of those, I'll just highlight the ones I really enjoyed this year and after that, I'll tell you my personal Game of the Year. So here are the games I beat this year that I really loved.
Happy New Year! I thought I’d end this year with one last blog with reviews I’ve written lately over at GamerDad.com. Please click on the links and read as many as you can and maybe even post a ‘like’ or comment or two. OK let’s begin!
Another year of gaming comes to an end. I guess it was kind of a sleepy year for games if you like big tentpole titles, but I honestly found plenty to play. Almost all of my gaming was done on Switch, which is set to pass both the Wii and PS1 in total install base by the end of the year. I didn't really bother pursuing the PS5 or the XSX|S this year, as there isn't a lot on those systems to justify a purchase.

The last Nerds Without Pants of the year is our annual State of the Generation episode, and we have a lot to say about the new consoles, where they may be going, and also highlight a ton of the biggest stories in gaming from 2021. Check the timestamps to skip ahead if we are covering a story you don’t care about. We’ll see you in 2022!
Boy this has been one roller coaster of a year, with lots of ups and downs. But it’s the end of the year so you know what that means? It’s time for my “Best Games of 2021 Awards Show!” Keep in mind that this is my list only and no other outside opinions contributed. And if a game isn’t on this list, it either just didn’t appeal to me as much or I haven’t had a chance to play it yet. Ok with that out of the way, let’s begin!
Merry Christmas everyone! I’ve got some presents for you! Game reviews I’ve recently written at GamerDad.com! Just what you always wanted! Please click on the links and read as many reviews as you can, and maybe post some ‘likes’ and comments, too! I’d appreciate it. And in the comments section, give me a pretend present and I’ll give you one, too! It’s the thought that counts…literally!
It was my friend's birthday today and so we hung out and played games. Here's what I played.
