Good morning Pixlpeeps and it is a warm sunny morning here in Hawaii. Ok so I kinda mentioned in previous blogs that there has been a lot going on and this is the reason why: I moved. I officially left California on Monday, and I am spending a couple of months in Hawaii until the house is built in….Nevada! Las Vegas to be exact. It has been a wild 6 months and there is another 5 months until the house is built. Until then I’ll be splitting time between Hawaii and then Nevada. It’s exciting, and stressful but I’m at the point where I don’t have to do anything but just relax and enjoy the ride.
Is it modes or moods, I'm not sure, but I had two modes I was in today. One was the mode of chasing after rewards points, the other was playing any old-school-looking turn-based RPG I could find on Xbox's Game Pass.
So get this, last week I had a Quick Hits written and ready to go, but just didn’t post. I got caught up in some things, and then on Monday, and Tuesday actual worked popped up including scanning pictures. You know what’s wild? When you take a picture that’s seen better days since it was taken in the 1940s, you not only make the torn sections go away, but you make it almost look like it was taken yesterday and nobody says “hey thanks for working your magic on this” it’s kind of annoying, but whatever. I’m here, you’re here, let’s type this up, catch up on stuff I missed here the past week or so, and then get back to scanning pictures and working my magic.
Well, having beaten the main story of Dragon Quest 11, I'm losing momentum in the post game. And I started playing Tales of Vesperia, which is also a very good game. You know, I postponed my RPG blogs, cause in my next one, I wanted to talk about Lunar: Silver Star Story, and I told myself to play some of it first (I have it on my iPhone, though I've also played it on PSP, but not on the original Sega CD or PSONE). But tonight, at last, I'm here, I don't have any plans, and I think I'm going to pick up my phone and play some Lunar....
Another year, another BaD. But times DO change. This year, before I start my blogs, I wanted to dedicate this iteration of our yearly blogging holiday to our noted member Cary and his mom, who has recently undergone treatment for cancer. We're all hoping Cary's mom has a swift recovery and that his family is blessed in this new year.
Valentine’s Day is coming up in a couple of weeks, so before the Blog A Day deluge comes, I wanted to give you all some Valentine presents: game reviews I’ve recently written over at GamerDad.com! Please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe even post a ‘like’ or comment or two. I’d appreciate it. And speaking of BaD, I probably won’t be participating in it again this year because I have enough to keep track of over at GamerDad.com, plus I want to focus more on taking care of my mom since she’s recovering from breast cancer surgery. But I’ll still read all of your blogs, of course! OK, let’s begin!
Hey, guys! 2020 has been a miserable year for the world, so thank God it's over! But it was a really good year for games. This year I was able to beat 25 games, which is almost the most I've ever done in a year. Most of you know that I'm a huge Nintendo fan, so most of these are Nintendo games or games on Nintendo consoles (although I would like to get a PS4, but not sure if that'll happen). As always, I beat some really great retro games this year too. So without further ado, here are the games I beat in 2020.
I love video game collections and compilations and writing blogs about them. But you know who doesn’t do video game collections very much? Nintendo! So Super Mario 3-D All-Stars is a pretty big deal. Or is it? Well we’ll take a look at that as well as the games in this set. Plus a few bonuses. So as Mario would say, “Let’s-a go!”
Good morning Pixlpeeps! I had to get up earlier than normal because of the one week where the recycle guy showed up really early. Now I hop out of bed at 7am to drag the trash out, and of course the guy shows up at his normal time or maybe even later. Mind games I say, MIND GAMES! Since I am up I ate my leftovers as breakfast and tried to remember exactly what I’ve played that is worthy of mentioning.
I can't say anything interesting happened with me in 2011, just more blogs on 1UP.
I started writing blogs for 1UP in 2010. That's about all. The rest is contained in this list of media I enjoyed that year.
It’s now September, and you know what happens this month? It’s my birthday on September 15! So let’s have a pretend birthday party right here on my blog! In the comments section, leave me a pretend birthday present. It can be anything you want. It’s the thought that counts…literally! I’d love it if you did that as I could use a bit of cheering up this year (I think we all could). And here’s some presents for you! Reviews I’ve recently written over at GamerDad.com! Please click on the links and read as many as you can and maybe post a ‘like’ or comment or two. I’d appreciate it. OK let’s begin!
