I have some friends that I’ve known and talked to on the Internet and in person for a long time. Like, since college, which was about 25 years ago! They have a podcast about cartoons now, and when they talked about the Pac-Man cartoon from the 80s, they had me be on the show with them! I am the biggest Pac-Man fan out there so why wouldn’t they? But seriously, it was an honor to be on the show with them and meant a lot to me that they included me and I was very thankful. So please give it a listen and let me know if you have any questions.
Around this time of year, I like to make a list of my best games SO FAR, because usually the AAA titles are released later in the year during the holiday season, and the titles that came out earlier tend to be forgotten. So here’s when those games get their due. Keep in mind that this is my list only and no other outside opinions contributed. And if a game isn’t on this list, it either just didn’t appeal to me as much or I haven’t had a chance to play it yet. Ok with that out of the way, let’s begin!

It used to be my friend Mark and I would go on road trips almost every week. We'd hit a favorite flea market, pawn shop and game store; buy a bunch of cheap old games and consoles, and then have lunch at a Chinese buffet. Since the internet ruined flea market bargains, and Mark became more wheelchair bound, we haven't gone on a road trip in quite a while. Well, health improvements and my discovery of several excellent local independent game stores have led to yesterday's road trip of old. Here's the story.
I played Switch, X360 and XSX systems. I'd like to make that Switch, PS4, XSX sometime. I always wanted to get to all three major systems during play sessions.
August is coming up in a few days. My plan is to watch/play favorite and new media from the 80s. I also like to review what I watched/played back then. So here is a list of the games I played the most in the 80s year by year.
You may not know about the Pocky and Rocky game series, but they’ve had four titles under their belt with a new one that just came out! They’re 2-D shooters, but they don’t auto-scroll (think Ikari Warriors or Commando), but it’s the theme that makes them stand out. The games have a Japanese myths and legends motif. They’re really fun games, but also really hard! Or maybe I just suck at them, I dunno. Anyway, since the new game just came out, I thought I’d be your tour guide in this shrine featuring all the games in the series! So let’s begin!
How primitive were graphics in video games in their early days? Some games didn't even have graphics. Instead, these games had textual descriptions of your environments and the on-screen action. You interacted with these games using a command prompt.
Welcome to the Pac-Man Museum+! My name is Cary, and I’ll be your tour guide today. Oh man, wouldn’t it be cool if there really was a Pac-Man Museum and I worked there? I’d be in heaven. Anyway, Pac-Man Museum+ is a collection of arcade and console games featuring Pac-Man. Kind of like the Namco Museums, just with Pac only. It’s available on most current consoles and PC, but I got the PS4 version because it was cheapest at 20 bucks. Plus it was a physical version, which I always like. Although I’m tempted to get it on Switch as well so I could have all those games portable. And I hear it’s also on Xbox Game Pass as of this writing, so if you have an Xbox One or X/S, check it out! All right, so come along with me on the tour of the 14 games on this collection!
A little behind on BaD this year. I don't have a computer at home right now, or, at least, not one with internet, so I'm limited to when I can get to a library. Good thing is, I'm back working at a library 5 days a week. Anyway, this short game is called Monkey King Saga, a game I stumbled upon looking through sales on Xbox. It was under $10 on sale. I forget exactly what I paid.
Well, I got a new console for trade-in value which is not exactly free, but I was happy I had enough to upgrade my Xbox One to a Xbox Series S. Here's a pic.
It’s a couple of days before Thanksgiving, which means Black Friday deals are hitting the internets, which is nice but I do kinda miss strolling into a store watching people go nuts on a cheap TV/laptop while the DVDs were located in the clothing section of all places or my personal favorite next to the milk (you crazy Walmart). The past couple of years my Black Friday shopping has been online because I’ve either been visiting family, or just lazy.

Well good morning Pixlpeeps! I’m going to make this short because there’s errands I need to tackle (I’m doing them so I can get ice coffee and a donut) and I would like to read what you good people wrote, plus I really didn’t play much this past week. Let’s get started.
Good evening Pixlpeeps! So I’ve been gone for the week and I have a good reason: my one year old nephew turned one, and he was on his Spring Break from his School so I was in Las Vegas for the week spending time with him. I tried to make it a no internet week, but I was sometimes on Twitter but I’ll save the random Vegas stories for Quick Hits but I did play a lot of games (a lot for me) because little guy likes to take power naps throughout the day and he goes to bed super early so when I wasn’t singing along with Baby Shark (there’s a one hour loop, and there’s another video of just remixes) and being the fun uncle, I was playing some games.
