The month is basically over, and so I'm wrapping up my hack 'n' slash games and getting ready to start my platform game theme for April. Here's the last stuff I played this week.
Over the Thanksgiving holidays I played quite a few games on Xbox. I'll try and list them below, but December, which starts today, is going to be nothing but Switch games, especially the Super Mario RPG remake I got last month. I've discovered that if I don't put the Xbox away, I will never get to anything else, so into a case it goes. I have plans for 2024, so I may not use it again until next September. More on that later. Onto the last two weeks' plays.
Pokemon finally got topped in sales by Grand Theft Auto this year with Vice City #1 and GTA III #3 in the U.S. . Critical acclaim went to GameCube's Metroid Prime and Zelda: Wind Waker. The Sims topped all-time PC sales beating out Myst this year. Microsoft bought Rare and Gametrailers began online. Remember Gametrailers? I used to check out that site all the time. Now for games I wouldn't mind playing again or for the first time.
Hey everybody! I’ve got more links to reviews I’ve written recently at GamerDad.com! I hope you get a chance to look at some of these especially, because I just got back from PAX South last week and wrote my article on that. Also managed to snag a box of Super Mario Cereal and wrote about it, and I got a few fairly high-profile game reviews, too. So please click on as many links as you can and maybe even post a like or comment or two. I’d really appreciate it. OK let’s begin!
It's the penultimate week of bad. Only 8 more days of February! Insane it's gone so fast. Anyways here's today's games!
So this topic is going to be a bit different...or maybe not. Anyways I love videogames, I enjoy playing video games, I'm opinionated, I review, analyze, and even try to play as many genres as possible. However, I could never do this job professionally and there are many reasons as to why.
For my new friends here on PixlBit, I do these kind of blogs every year. I've been doing them since 2007 back on 1UP.com. I started doing these blogs to show off my collection of games and to try curving my game buying addiction that has grown over the years. Buying games wouldn't be so bad if I actually played most of the games I bought. My backlog is ridiculous. On top on that, I have a growing family to take care of. My wife & I had our 5th child this year.
One bonus I didn't account for, from doing these blogs, is that they help me keep track of the games I buy. You wouldn't believe the number of times I'm thinking about buying a game I really want and I go back to one of my old Game Purchases blogs and find out I already own the damn thing.
It doesn't happen often, but this year I double bought 3 games. I don't sell games, so I'm thinking about giving them away or maybe if someone has a game I don't have is willing to do a trade.
