I'm on vacation this week for the most part. LJ and I went to Washington D.C. to visit the Smithsonian Zoo and Museum of the American Indian (also, accidently - 'cause we parked beneath it - the Bible Museum and saw the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit), but I manged to squeeze in some gaming on a few days here and there and last week, which I couldn't report on 'cause Pixlbit was down.
In conjunction with Metacritic. I'm numbering all my games with the Metacritic rank to give me a play order as I go through my collection. Its just my lately metagame. Here's my 1-10 with the Metacritic rank in parenthases.
The 3DS was released this year. Minecraft came out of beta. The highest rated games were Batman: Arkham City, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Portal 2. Here's a list of what I put the most time into that year followed by stuff I played later and then a wish list.

When a brand-new game console comes out, I like to write a blog about the console that came before it, and talk about my favorite games on it. So now that the Nintendo Switch has been released, I’d like to honor the Wii U and go over my favorite games for that system (not in any particular order).
Recently I played and beat the new holiday title, LEGO Dimensions. I was impressed with some of the worlds you explore and licenses used, so I decided I’d write a blog about it. In short, LEGO Dimensions is essentially Skylanders with LEGOs. You buy and build LEGO figures and vehicles, and then put them on a special pedestal so you can play as them in the game. Unlike Disney Infinity, any character and vehicle can go into any world at any time. That’s one thing that Skylanders and LEGO Dimensions does right. Half the fun was seeing all the worlds you could go into, and what surprises you’d find. In fact, brother Jeff (who I always play LEGO games with), described the game as ‘LEGO Kingdom Hearts’ and I like how he put that. So let’s dive into the portal and see what we can see!
Good morning Pixlbit Nation! It is a nice Friday morning here in my little section Southern California. Currently I have the WWE Network playing because my Grandfather really loves wrestling and he gets more use out of my subscription than I do. If you ever watch older Pay Per Views its like Bizarro World especially if you watch the current stuff but only started watching again for a year. Currently he’s watching 2013 Backlash and everything is different. I know you folks aren’t here for the wrestling talk (you should be) but anyways let’s get started with this edition of Quick Hits with Chris!

Tis the time for lists and other such folly. Tis the time to look back at the year and think of all of the wonderful experiences we had in a virtual realm and try and justify all the time we spent that could have been dedicated to something even mildly important.

Good morning everybody, just wanted to drop by with what i've been to this November ever since I returned from Belgium.
About some days later or so and just as I bought the last Humble Indie Bundle, a weekly bundle came in the form of games for an organization promoting girls to work on videogames. I was interested in the bundle from the get-go, since it had The Cat Lady and Long Live The Queen, games I had on my wishlist and l was interested in playing. The other games included Lilly Looking Through (who our beloved staff member Matt Snee reviewed), Ms. Splosion Man and two games I didn't know before called Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten and The Yawhg, which after seeing their trailers, I got interest in them. Valdis Story: Abyssal City was also on the pack as the top tier reward, but because I already had that game, I went with the first two tiers only. I just bought the pack about 10 minutes ago and there's only ONE day left, so if you're interested, go right here.
Ever since I healed up and laid the BrokeLeg Blog to rest ive been thinking about how I could contribute to the Pixlbit blogging community in a more regular manner than my update and purchase blogs, which are pretty bland.
I've been way too lazy lately to blog and Tumblr doesn't help, but because I can't live without doing atleast a blog every month, here's a very quick update on some things from mid-April until now:
I know, I haven't been very active here. I originally wrote a blog last Nov but ended up losing it and it kind of turned me away. But yeah im back and hopefully I can get a little more active. Anyway, not too much new with me aside from the typical boatload of new games. Last Nov I ended up getting an XBox One day one. It was an interesting day to say the least. It was a last minute thing for me as my dad offered to lend me the cash to get one and a few games. So I frantically called around to various places who all told me the same thing. They sold all their per-orders and might be getting a few extra too sell. I decided Walmart was my best bet. So I got there around 5:45 pm or so and was second in line. After a few hours I found out they were getting something like 12 extras to sell. Needless to say, I was happy. At about 10pm they gave us all slips so we could get out of line until they could be sold at midnight. Yes im aware that the XBox One could still be found on most store shelves a few weeks after it hit, but I wasn't gonna chance it. It was a very long and mostly boring wait, but overall I have to say it was an interesting night and im glad I did it. Half way through the wait ar around 8:30 or so we even got some entertainment courtesy of some idiot standing in line thinking he was cool getting cocky with the manager. It didn't end well for him though. The cops came in and escorted him out.
I can’t believe 2013 is over already. It was a good year, all in all, and I actually know what I’ve played through the year thanks to Backloggery.com and my monthly recap blogs. Below you’ll find all the games I beat this year and below that the number of games I bought or somehow acquired. The numbers for PS+ and Free with Gold games that follow in parentheses are included in the total; I just wanted to make special mention of them since I didn’t have to pay for them beyond the membership fee.
