It's always a comfort knowing this website still runs and the community still supports it. There's nothing but shame and bad excuses from me. It's nonsensical, too: professing my enjoyment of a website even though I don't do enough as a member. I can always take comfort in the fact that it's super laid back (unless someone in the comments corrects me on that opinion ;) )
What can I say about the DS? For one, it still is the best selling portable system of all time. Originally conceived as a third pillar to stand next to the GameCube and GB Advance, it eventually became its successor. They took a risk with its "Dual Screen", but it paid off big time. It outlasted both of those consoles by a good 5 years. Released in 2004, the DS offered a unique gameplaying experience that the looming Playstation Portable (PSP) didn't have - namely, a touch screen. They released it right before Thanksgiving of that year, just in time for Black Friday. This marked the first time that Nintendo had ever released a console in other countries before Japan. The only game that was really worthwhile at launch was Super Mario 64 DS, and it retailed for $150. However, it was backwards compatible with all the GB Advance games, which was a good selling point to those who supported the device for the first year before better games came out. As with all Nintendo handhelds, each model of the DS came in different colors.
I decided to rent again. I just don't see how I'm going to afford buying stuff day one, even if I trade them in later. I think I will buy anything that's only available as a download though. They're usually smaller titles at cheaper prices anyway. So onto my most anticipated titles of 2018.
Being the huge SMT universe fan that I am I was very interested in this game from the beginning. I also loved Radiant Historia and I'm currently playing Awakening. This is yet another reason I need a Wii U.
I can’t believe 2013 is over already. It was a good year, all in all, and I actually know what I’ve played through the year thanks to Backloggery.com and my monthly recap blogs. Below you’ll find all the games I beat this year and below that the number of games I bought or somehow acquired. The numbers for PS+ and Free with Gold games that follow in parentheses are included in the total; I just wanted to make special mention of them since I didn’t have to pay for them beyond the membership fee. It has been awhile again my dear blog...I have gotten a few new games for my DS/3DS and Wii, work is work nothing has changed there, no new games beat, anime has not been watched much as of late, the only change is...life has been so stressful I am ready to break!

Hello again, everyone. My Summer semester is finally over, so no more getting home at 10:30 p.m. and waking up at 5:45 a.m. Yes, for the past four weeks, my work day has been that long. But it's over now, and I hope I have more time to post some of my reviews/thoughts. No pictures this time, so it might be a slog. When I have more time, I'll work on some more complete blog posts. First and foremost, no, this isnt a count down of what I think are the "Hits" of this year, but rather a list of games that I have not completed that I want to over the course of the year. Its a daunting list, but I think that I'll be able to chop off some games from my seriously large backlog. Lets get started:
UPDATE: Ask and you shall receive. Atlus has announced that due to popular demand, they will be running a second printing of Radiant Historia. The second printing will go live sometime in March and will be available at EB Games and Amazon.com. It is possible that the game will be made available through other outlets, but we cannot confirm that at this time. Below is the original story as it was reported on February 3, 2012.
My family and I are on a budget, and within it, everybody gets a little monthly spending money. My wife buys typical wifely things like clothes, jewelry, stuff like that. The kids don't get a whole lot, but they spend it on kid stuff. Candy, a toy, whatever. I am also fairly predictable in my own spending habits. I almost always buy the same thing: Video Games.
This year has been a crazy year for video games. Many blockbuster titles came out, which only added to the insane list of games that I already own. I played a ton of them, and managed to finish a good amount of them too. My backlog still grows by the month, but this year I completed a great amount. Im just gonna run down a few games I finished, and also mention a few that I almost got through, which I may try to get around to in 2012. Anyway lets start this off!
