November in my year-long trek through the years brings me to the 2020s. Somehow I miscalculated and didn't make December the 2020s, but whatever. December can be 2023 and no other year. So what about 2020? PUBG wins the revenue war with 2.8 billion and Persona 5 Royal tops the critics charts with a 95 on Metacritic. About the only game I've played a lot on these two lists (sales and critical) is Dragon Quest XI. Here's MY list for 2020.
Not the losers of the World Series but the ones drawn by Osamu Tezuka and animated in a tv series - you know, the really important stuff. Not having the 1963 series, I watched some episodes of the 2003 Astro Boy. It's pretty good. Great animation. Sometimes a very kids oriented story in some episodes but still enjoyable to aged me. Mad Krammer just bought the '63 series, so I'll get to that soon. Anyway, gaming.
My weekends (which are midweek) are a mix of gaming and schlocky TV and youtube watching with my friend MAD Krammer (Xbox gamer tag).
Around this time of year, I like to make a list of my best games SO FAR, because usually the AAA titles are released later in the year during the holiday season, and the titles that came out earlier tend to be forgotten. So here’s when those games get their due. Keep in mind that this is my list only and no other outside opinions contributed. Happy New Year! Around this time of year, I like to make a list of games that are releasing in the coming year that I’m looking forward to. Of course, this isn’t a full complete list, as there will assuredly be titles announced throughout the year that I may get as well. Heck, last year we didn’t know about Pac-Man World: Re-Pac until late summer, and that ended up being my Game of the Year in 2022! But anyway, here’s what I know now, for the most part, so let’s take a look at what games I’m looking forward to in 2023!

It's always a comfort knowing this website still runs and the community still supports it. There's nothing but shame and bad excuses from me. It's nonsensical, too: professing my enjoyment of a website even though I don't do enough as a member. I can always take comfort in the fact that it's super laid back (unless someone in the comments corrects me on that opinion ;) )
With the 2022 NBA Finals set to conclude this week (possibly tonight), now is as good a time as any to look back at Double Dribble- Konami’s take on professional basketball initially released in 1986. Like many of their arcade hits arcades, the game was forever immortalized when it was ported to the NES a year later. With its accessible gameplay mechanics and realistic presentation, Double Dribble quickly became known as one of the best sports experiences on the home console.
I've gotten in the habit of checking the new releases on Game Pass every week. When Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master (also known as Taiko Drum Master) appeared, I had to try it.
