So I've been playing the game scene, not committing to any one game, you know, games want me to be their one and only, but that's not my style right now. I just got out of a long relationship (Tales of Vesperia), and I'm not ready to just be with one game.

But first a few games I forgot to mention I played the other day; then EDF 2025 and my failed attempt to start the new Borderlands 3 DLC.
Like I mentioned I might do in a previous BaD blog, I dug my Vita out of the storage area of my ottoman, cleaned it, and charged it. Now I'm debating playing either Xenogears, Trails in the Sky, or Tactics Ogre. Tactics Ogre is winning, because Xenogears is pretty tough, and Trails in the Sky is a huge, two game story. However -
Once again there are too many games coming in and very few getting finished.
As of January 1, 2020, we're entering a new decade in gaming (let's not go into pedantic debates about the.year zero here). It's hard to believe, it just seems like 2010, a time of Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, and Kinect, was just yesterday, and the world of the 2000s was still fresh in my mind.
Lately, I've been playing three classic compilations on my Switch. Two of these are from Konami - the Castlevania and Contra Anniversary Collections. Konami has been re-releasing a lot of its old library lately, after being largely a no-show in the gaming world since the huge fiasco over Kojima Productions and MGS V. Hopefully they're taking a few hesitant steps back into the gaming world beyond Yu-Gi-Oh and Pro Evolution Soccer. They're even jumping into the mini-console scene with mini TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine consoles - the consoles were originally developed by Hudson Soft, and ownership therefore passed to Konami when they bought Hudson.
I really shouldn’t be buying new games, but in the last couple of weeks I’ve been snatching up digital games, sometimes on a whim and sometimes after having forgotten about them.
I took up a new mission from HQ to defeat the Berserker King in the Lush Grasslands and two quests from the bar to find materials. I got the two quests for materials, but I am still hunting the Berserker King.
At a time when I really shouldn't be spending money on things I don't need, what do I do? I buy two new games. I should feel remorse and guilt, but I don't.

So after playing a ludicrous amount of hours of Trails in the Sky, I decided I wanted to take a break before starting the second one. I didn't want to burn out on the series, afterall. However, I still had a weird itch for some JRPG goodness. I bounced around a few games deciding which to stick with, and these are the games I've been playing:
In my last blog, I mentioned that when I finished playing Ys, I would give Falcom's other big series Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky a go. Well, I'm about 20 hours into this roughly 50 hour game and I'm having a goddamned ball!
