As another E3 looms large, expectations are much different than last year. The specter of MS's DRM and always online machinations clouded the proceedings, allowing Sony to swoop in and crush their competition handily. Nintendo, meanwhile, saw no presence on the E3 stage, opting instead to focus on an E3 Direct and show floor presence.
Hello Tueday, and hello good people of Pixlbit! For you folks in America how did you spend Memorial Day? I wish I could say my Memorial Day was productive, I had a couple of activities planned but instead I decided to stay home, enjoy the air conditioning, and take part in whatever random TV show had a marathon. I don’t know why but I also like to send random YouTube videos from my phone to the TV. I watched a couple of videos from a person I subscribe to talk about his random vinyl pickups. Yup I’m living the glamorous life
Well its been about 6 months since I got my XBox One, so what are my impressions of it now? First off I would like to say that Microsoft has done a great job on the dashboard. When the system first launched up until about 3 or 4 months ago, I felt like I was playing a beta console with its countless glitches.
I have definitely been MIA these past few weeks now. Theres alot going on but more good than bad, recently I am no longer sleeping on a couch. My sister and her boyfriend got a place finally and that opened up the previous room I had had about 1 year ago. so since I've been trying to get everything from downstairs moved up here it's been a crazy mess. One thing is computer is still down stairs. So I haven't been getting on it because when I come home I come to my room. Hopefully in the next few days/weeks I can get the computer finally up to the room. I'm still working at goodwill and job searching. I'm also waiting to hear from the College about my financial aid however they don't open their offices up until May 13th. I'm hoping on that day I can call them and find out about it. I'm not going back to college till fall but I did least like to have it to where I can get it easily set up. Normally they do early fall registration starting during the summer. So I'd also want to get in on that. Right now I'm just taking it day by day and just doing what I need to. I know I haven't been on a whole lot like I said but its just been a crazy time for me. However it does look like things are definitely on the mend which makes me feel better because I've been drowning it seems in negativity. I'm still gaming of course but it has been kind of slow.
May’s looking pretty good for new releases. I’ve got four I’m keeping close tabs on and one I’m preordering for sure. Which one is it? Read on.
Hello Pixlbit! It's been 6 days since I bought my PS4 and I've been playing it non stop. I just finished up Infamous Second Son(don't worry about spoilers. There will be none here) and I gotta say that game was and still is the game that made me buy the console. I've been trying out other games on the PS4 such as Knack(didn't know it was difficult. For me that is), Killzone Shadow Fall and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. MGSV is such a great game. At first when I heard it was only a one level game, I didn't think too much of it. I'm not a hardcore MGS fan, but I liked watching my cousins play it when I was a kid. I knew characters such as Big Boss, Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, Vamp, Psycho Mantis, Sniper Wolf etc. But I never played the games. My first MGS game was actually MGS4 Sons of Liberty. Loved that game. So I just wanted to try out Ground Zeroes and I was surprised to see myself really get into it. Definitely going to keep the game and definitely recommend it to anyone who is a hardcore fan of the series or just starting out like me.
So Its been oe hell of a roller coaster ride these last few weeks, with things coming and going like crazy. So an update is in order to help understand the madness that is me and my life. Im not to be blamed for any corruption or mental madness you may or may not get for coming around me.
I've been sold on getting a PS4 for quite some time now, and after waiting and waiting....and waiting, I've finally managed to find and secure a Playstation 4 at my job. While I won't be able to fully afford it until tomorrow, it's pretty much mine. I can't wait!
I made so many purchases in February its ridiclous! However Feb was a tough month, it had a lot of good of course but its share of depression and bad. Sadly I love to buy shit when Im down, normally though instead of clothes and shoes like some chicks I swing toward other things like Games, Music, Movies, and Books.
Hello Pixlbit. Hope everyone had a good Friday. The weekend is almost here which means I'll have some free time to post some stuff. Just thought I should write a blog before the day ends. I was just curious to find out what games you all are looking forward to this year. Feel free to list everything. There might be a title that I could look into that will catch my interest.
I am about to be on terminal leave. It starts 18FEB14. I have cut all ties to future game purchases. It hurts me but with that said, I have a lot of games pre-ordered/paid off. I should be satisfied with what I am getting but I spoiled myself way too much. Here is the games I currently have paid off.
Bar hopping, gambling, dining in fine restaurants, spending time with beautiful women...well, that's over now. It's time to hibernate until late March, when I can do it all over again.

In this issue of PB & Jason, we have Pokémon X & Y, a weirdly-worded Joystiq story, potentially low Xbox One and PS4 console pre-order sales, and an inferred reason for the delay of Ubisoft's Watch_Dogs. I love getting another reminder that I made the correct decision to cancel my PS4 pre-order and get a 3DS and Vita. Upon finishing up Fire Emblem Awakeing I already knew that I would never regret this decision, but companies keep giving me reasons to be glad that I am waiting for a PS4.
First off, let me just say how insane 2013 looks. This is one of the craziest Falls I have seen in a long time, for me at least. So I thought I'd put the games that look at least good enough to pick up around day one for now for the rest of the year.
The Last of Us was an incredible fun and unique experience that had a lasting story. I love creative and unique experiences. There is a lot more new IPs coming on current and next gen titles. Here are ten titles I am excited to play this year.

Ubisoft made good on last year’s surprise of Watch_Dogs with another, this one known as Tom Clancy’s The Division. One of the biggest draws about this title, besides the outstanding visuals, is the way that players engage with one another.
I won't spoil anything. I will say though that the ending isn't what I was expecting. There were at least a couple of times I thought it would end but didn't. I have to say that this game was really incredible in how it kept a balance of being linear but still give you room to explore. It is also a fine example of direct storytelling without giving you choices. I think this game set a milestone personally for me than Uncharted ever had. I loved the adventure. I love how you didn't know just around a corner if there was going to be a big group of Clickers. It get things suspenseful. There are some interesting and crazy encounters with humans, especially one particular group. The game is many ways like The Walking Dead in how humans are just as ruthless if not more.

We’ve let the dust settle and even waited long enough for some of the controversial policies to get reversed since E3 wrapped up, but we’ve got plenty of opinions about this year’s show. Each of us came into it with slightly different expectations and varying levels of optimism and negativity. Some of us were pleasantly surprised and others were given the huge serving of “meh” we anticipated. Read through each of the PixlBit staff’s impressions of E3 2013 and see whose opinions most closely align with yours.
I've always felt that mankind, as civilized as we are, still consists of savages. Back in our neanderthal days, mankind consisted of brutal warriors who traveled in packs and went after other men who weren't in their tribe. Fighting for survival and wearing nothing but skins, our ancestors were just like the animals we see in the jungle. Of course, over the years, we have learned to be civilized, some more than others, but we still wage wars and love to fight. Many UFC haters call MMA "animals fighting in front of animals" and that kind of hit home. We still have that savagery of our past in us but we only bring it out on occasion and usually in private. What would happen if we take that delicate balance between savagery and civilized behavior and put a nice Zombie Apocalypse in the mix? What you get is The Last Of Us.
