I got another day, maybe, but I got a weird work schedule again this week and so am here recalling the day and half I spent so far.
Sometimes Games with Gold sends me adventure games. Somerville and Truberbrook were two recent ones I tried.
My friend and I got back into Halo Infinite now that it has full campaign co-op. Maybe that got added a few months ago or even earlier, but we're into it now.
I'll relate some recent plays and then get on to my current sickness, High on Life, where I took a bunch of screen shots.

Gaming on Sunday. Absurdist lunacy filled in the gaps between games and all during. Appearing that day were such dadaesque creations as Captain Crunch (The one who crunches too much, not the cereal character) and Boo Bop from Tway (the one who speaks the undecipherable nonsense language which strangely sounds like variations on the McDonalds "I'm lovin' It" jingle). Read on if you dare (actually much less crazy than this opening paragraph).
Good evening Pixlpeeps! I need to reply to everyone and I’m sorry, it’s a little hectic right now because it’s almost Turkey Day and we’re getting ready here, so the day has been nothing but running around picking up last minute items, and when I got home I took a nap. I need to clean the bathroom after this so I’m gonna try and make this short.
For some odd reason my laptop’s WiFi isn’t playing well but I can’t restart the laptop because I’m currently converting some FLAC files into mp3 for my music player. Relax audiophiles it’s a copy and it’s for my big project that I seem to do yearly of making an mp3 or AAC copy of my FLAC library. Anyways while that is going on let’s get started to what games I played (I really only played 1)

2004 was more pizza and music, but I do remember going to my dad's summer beach house in North Carolina. We had fun fishing, going to book stores and eating out. The drive from Philly was fun too. 7 1/2 hours with a stop on the Cheasapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel. I also enjoyed the following media.
Nothing much to tell about me in 2003. It was kind of the same as 2002, music and pizza. I took in a lot of media though. Here are my favorites.
Solitaire played with a mandatory five people, couch co-op, with one controller. This series is absurd. Who does this sort of thing? Apparently it's quite popular though. In this fifth installment you use the solitaire gameplay to fight mythological beasts and outwit a complex conversation system in an epic tale of desperate battles, betrayal and deceit. I would've loved it if I didn't need five couches for social distancing. I played the following seven games instead.
I have a few questions for you. Do you consider yourself to be masochistic in your choice of games to play? Are you driven by a need to show your superiority over other players and scoff at them for not “getting good”? Has your quest for harder and harder games desensitized you to the point that it’s impossible for you to enjoy anything that isn’t actively trying to frustrate you? Well, you’re in luck, because have I got the game for you! Enter: Valfaris, a game so focused on punishing players that it forgets to be fun. Which, if you answered yes to the above questions should get you absolutely psyched, right?
Hello Pixlpeeps, sorry I’ve been away but I had a family emergency. Everything is good now so I thought I would catch you up on what has been going on. There really hasn’t been much actual gaming because of this emergency but I did do some to take my mind off of real world. So let’s get started with a Quick Hits type layout.
Nine years ago, I reviewed Demon’s Souls, and I’ll just say that at the time… I wasn’t a fan. I struggled to wrap my head around the gameplay and what made it special absolutely eluded me. Despite my contempt, when Dark Souls went on deep discount, I couldn’t resist the sale and grabbed a copy. Perhaps it was fate, but purchasing Dark Souls that day set into motion an obsession I never expected to take hold of me.
Yep, we finally did it, we killed the Ender Dragon in Minecraft for, I think, at least the third time. One for the Xbox 360 version, one for the first Xbox One Version and now for the new and improved Xbox One version. It was definitely harder in this last version, and we both died a few times doing it, but we finally did it, and more.
One of my favorite things about playing strategy/role playing games is the sense of satisfaction that comes from executing on a well-laid plan. The thrill of deftly maneuvering units into place for a swift and deadly strike after multiple turns of meticulous consideration is something that few games deliver. I love strategy/RPGs, and I was excited to tear into Valkyria Chronicles 4; a return to form of sorts for a series held in high regard by a rabid fanbase, and a franchise I have little experience with. Sadly, instead of tearing into this game because I couldn’t get enough, I will now need to tear into this bizarre title that not only doesn’t reward sound strategy but does everything in its power to undermine player agency.
I consider myself a plugged in gamer. I take it as a matter of professional pride to keep tabs on all manner of games, even if I’m not personally interested in them. So imagine my surprise to learn that I’ve spent the last twelve years thinking the Yakuza series was just a low budget version of Grand Theft Auto, only to find out it’s actually a super deep roleplaying game. This was a pleasant surprise as I worked my way through Yakuza Kiwami 2, my first true foray into the franchise.
