A new Kirby game is being released this week: Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. I’m always excited when a new Kirby game comes out. I like Kirby games better than Mario titles! And usually when a new Kirby game comes out, I like to write a blog about Kirby. So this time I’m going to write about my LEAST favorite Kirby games. Why so negative? Well, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is actually a sequel to Kirby Canvas Curse, one of the games on this list. But don’t worry. None of the games on my list are BAD games. There’s no such thing as a bad Kirby game. I just like these games less than others. And this list isn’t in any particular order either. So let’s roll!
Happy New Year, everyone! At this time of year I like to take a look at games I’m looking forward to playing and reviewing in the coming year. I know that as the year goes on, there will be other announcements and things. But here are some that I’m looking forward to right now that I know of.
Today I started Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (BtPS) again continuing some side missions I was on when co-op happened. I forget exactly why my friend Mark and I started playing the missions co-op, but it was very helpful in the last several story missions to beat the game.

Even though the transition into the newest generation of gaming consoles has been a gradual, whimpering affair so far, it’s pretty clear that the previous generation is wrapping up its final encore. To look back at how the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and Nintendo DS thrilled us for years, PixlBit brings you our Game of the Generation series. Our staff has picked their personal favorite, most influential, most impactful games to highlight as we bid adieu to what was.
Another E3 has come and gone, so I thought I’d write a blog about my favorite games and news stories from the show. But before we get to that, I have to rant a little bit. I do apologize in advance, but for the second year in a row I was denied a press pass to E3. So I have to gripe about that a second.
So like last year I decided once again to express my thoughts on E3. Again I'll look at Nintendo because well...it's in my user name (say what!? And here I thought I liked Microsoft!) Anyways I really liked some of the announcements and others...well we'll get into that. But for now here is a list of pros and cons
Hi, it's me again. A few days ago I started to cover Contagion via my own personal dev-blog. I didn't really know what to write at the time but I did know I wanted to write about my personal experiences. The pitfalls and whatnot. Today's topic is detailing.
Hello Pixlbit! It’s been an odd couple of days here in what is usually sunny Southern California. We had a crazy thunder storm, and the local news’ big story was that a tree was knocked over. This is more interesting than the last time when a guy drove his car through a flooded street, and was pissed at the city because his car was ruined (yeah that was news). Oh well after taking a break last week from blogging to enjoy the start of football I am back, and I’d like to share with you all the “What’s Going On With Chris” blog!
Well, it's been over a month since I last posted... time flies, I suppose.
Well...Started to dabble in other hobbies whilst still thinking and planning on stuff related to drawing on the side (I know I'll definetly have something to watch for the Summer anime season..~) and brushes like these will come in handy to play with..~ (Also in future experiments.) But dang...Middle of the month came fast..Guess it's a good thing a lot of the games I'd like to play aren't out(Or even confirmed for the U.S as of yet..) One fun thing I found while browsing Deviantart recently was this fabulous cake..~
The canvas of the overrun town proves to be great as here are many needed items just laying about. Louis finds pills by the hundreds, Zoey finds some new tennis shoes, Francis finds a trove of hateful things, and Bill finds cigarettes. Bill also picks up a small silver bottle that he slips into his back pocket.
I play alot of different games from any genre, I try playing different games because it's good trying to play games you'd never played before because it gives you a new experience. I'm pretty open when it comes to games, I loved every single game I've had a chance to experience, well there may be one or 2 exceptions. However there is one type of game or genre that I haven't tried and given a chance to: Rhythm Games.
I've been sick for the last two days, so no blog about anything specific today. Just a bunch of random updates.

It all starts with a box. It’s shiny, and it’s white, and it’s metal. It’s also empty, but it won’t always be this way.
Last night I found myself inspired by the PixlBit community who asked if I would draw my version of the Triforce a little while back. If you're new to the site, what I am doing is a series of blogs where I paint something (with mediocre skill) that one community member has asked me to paint. This time Michael 117 asked me to imagine a Triforce with symbols on each of the triangles for courage and so forth. I went a step further and tried to mix each side of the Triforce as they become closer to the middle. I also tried to fill the outside of the Triforce with a color reminiscent of Demise from Skyward Sword. This painting was all acrylic on canvass, and here's a picture, before I put on the final coat of varnish:
Just wanted to update the people who read my last blog, and the people who care but may have missed it, where I have been. Soon after I posted about starting a new kind of blog, my life was a little derailed. I had surgery, and you may have heard about it on a Nerds Without Pants podcast. Well, I'm back here, and have been steadily regaining energy.
First, a disclaimer; there are many, many examples of art framed in gameplay, but I can only speak to things I have personally appreciated. This is true to the nature of art itself. One can only speak to pieces that have “moved” them in some way, but that does not disqualify other works of skill, beauty, imagination, and creativity, it simply speaks to their limitations as a single human being. There are games that may deserve to be mentioned that I simply have not played, and art that I have experienced that went unappreciated because of my own personal tastes. Please keep this in mind.
