Hey Pixlbit! Just wanted to give you a recap on how this week went. So from my last post, I talked about the debate between Bravely Default and Toukiden: The Age of Demons. Well I finally decided and picked up Bravely Default. I cannot tell you how great this game is. Even thought I haven't played the older Final Fantasy games, they really feel like the type of turn based strategy battle system it uses. The story so far (I've only put in 4 hours) is great! I love the story behind each character and their personalities. Toukiden I will eventually get if I see it pre owned at my local Gamestop stores to try it out. Besides, I read some articles stating that Playstation has announced a Sly Cooper and God of War collection for the Vita so I'm very excited to get my hands on those.
Hello Pixlbit! Haven't been blogging for a while and unfortunately missed out on the BaD event everyone's been doing. As you may know from the title, this post is about Bravely Default and Toukiden: The Age of Demons. When I first heard about Toukiden, I was excited to see a game similar to Monster Hunter coming to the vita once again. I was very pleased to play through the first game that has that genre, which is Soul Sacrifice. When I stumbled upon the Toukiden demo, I immediately hit the download button. I played through the whole demo and enjoyed it very much. I went back to it to start a new character and felt burnt out from it already. Which didn't make sense because I loved Soul Sacrifice and felt as though there was always something new every level.
I'm MrUniverse_. Have been wanting to make a video game blog for the longest time, but never got around into doing so. I'm glad to have found a place to start. Hope to see many great blogs and meet new people through here. A little background about myself. I play video games. I've been into video games since I was a little kid. I think as I grew older, my gaming habit has grown immensely and still continues today.
Hey Pixlbit. So I feel pretty stupid. I'm still new to this site and I'm trying to figure things out. For some reason my posts haven't been showing up because I didn't put them live on my blog and kept saving them as drafts this whole time. I have a lot of blogs so I'll only be posting the ones I feel are worth reading. I might post the rest eventually but the most recent ones I'll be putting up tonight. My mistake.
As to 1:14 pm this afternoon almost 107,000 Americans have petitioned to deport Justin Bieber. Only 35602 fewer signatures than the petition to pardon Edward Snowden.
It’s rare these days that a game gets by without gamers knowing approximately how long it takes to complete the experience. With dozens of games to choose from and each of them costing $60 a pop, gamers want to know that their investment will be worth it.
Confirmation from leaks by 'traitor' Edward Snowden has confirmed that Microsoft has indeed worked with the NSA and FBI to help spy on peoples e mail and Skype messages, see the article from the UK paper the daily mail below:
I'm at the library right now, and these two kids across from me are playing Bloons TD5. Let me tell you, they suck at playing it. There is a sort of art form of playing Bloons, and these kids are sh*tting right over it.

Koudelka is a turned based RPG which was released by Sacnoth in 2000 for the PS1. I have sort of a love/hate relationship with it. I love the story and characters. But the gameplay has it's flaws if you ask me. It was called a "survival horror" style RPG and it uses a grid based system for combat. It does have a very deep story to it,which I think is very interesting. The lead character is Koudelka Iasant, a young gypsy girl with psychic abilities. Takes place in Aberyswyth,Wales in 1898 at a monastery called Nemeton. Her two cohorts are a young adventurer named Edward Plunkett, who she meets upon her arrival at the monastery. And a Bishop named James O'Flaherty, who was sent there by the Vatican to retrieve a certain item. I won't get too deep into the story,as it is complex. Some might say it's supernatural, but not the least bit scary. No gore in this game, just crazy RPG battles with an assortment of vile creatures and people. Weapons will break on you, which is rather annoying at times. As they are hard to come by. Items can be hard to find period, unless you are standing right on top of them.

After such a long and torturous wait, Assassins Creed fans finally get to walk the plank again. Director Ashraf Ishmael announced a new location and setting for the seminal franchise in an interview on March 4th, 2013. To be released on November 1 of this year for Ps3, Xbox 360, WiiU, PC, in addition to next generation consoles Ps4 and Xbox 720, Black Flag will be set in the 18th century Caribbean. This age of piracy should prove an interesting shift in the format laid by Assassin’s Creed 2’s trilogy: Assassin’s Creed 4 will release after just one iteration to the series’ third installment.
One of my folkie friends read Folk Music Friday #1 and mentioned that it was very heavy on male singers. Looking at it again, I had to agree. So this week's installment focuses on women singers from the folk music revival. This is by no means a comprehensive list, and if you like what you hear, I encourage you to dig around and find more. And you can always ask me, and I can either give you suggestions or ask someone more knowledgeable for suggestions.
Unsurprisingly, and somewhat to my dismay, we learned that a new Assassins Creed title is in development for release this October. Not to mention, it would be the official 4th in the series, as opposed to a midway title like AC: Brotherood and Revelations. To be honest, I was expecting it but I still have a sour taste in my mouth from AC3.

Welcome to the second part of our exhaustive look at the history of Final Fantasy! In the first edition, we looked at the birth of a role playing series that would go on to capture the hearts and minds of millions of gamers worldwide and the man behind that idea-Hironobu Sakaguchi. This time we move into the 16 bit era, a time when the Final Fantasy franchise truly took its place on the world stage of RPGs. So please join us as we delve into the Super Famicom Years.

Unsung Wii games… where do you even start? Just about everything that came out on the Wii that wasn’t a major blockbuster went relatively unnoticed. Having written for a Nintendo-only site for a number of years, I had a unique opportunity to play many games that were off the radar for most Wii owners.

Dance Central 3 was presented at the Microsoft E3 Media Briefing with Usher doing a mini concert for the crowd. After the lights dimmed and the dancers returned backstage, we got some details about the game in the form of a press release and trailer. Most importantly, the Kinect dance title will be released this fall.

Well kiddies, it’s another fantastic Friday and that means another installment of my favorite bi-weekly column Missing in Action! For those of you not familiar with my weekly staple, MIA is a column where we pick a game or franchise out of the gutter, clean it up and present it for a current generation update.
