Microsoft Rewards had me doing a lot of things like a bing daily set of quizzes and achievement hunting today. I needed three achievements in anything and one in Back 4 Blood that counted for two different rewards. The beginning of the month always has a lot of challenges. Then I tried a Game Pass game I thought looked interesting.
Ok so I have my breakfast sandwich (thanks Costco for selling boxes of Jimmy Dean Croissant sandwiches), and a Pepsi so I am ready to go. I’m actually waiting for my sandwich to lower in temp from surface of the sun, to just under burn all the taste buds. I live dangerously. Ok so one game took up most of my gaming time last week and that was my continuation of playing Batman Arkam Origins on Steam.

It's time for another videw weekend. This night I thought I'd make it a bit more video game releated and current event "ripped from the headlines" related. More so given the current event related is happening in my state. For the record I can attest I haven't seen any clowns. But just the same I've checked the locks on my doors every night. Also these glitches I don't find quite scary myself, in fact I've found some of them actually funny, but there are some that make me woder. So far I haven't run into any of them but who knows what will happen this Octoberween. So sit back and relax and enjoy this double video posting for tonight. Simply put, these games offer a huge bang for the buck for players as they possess the biggest payouts, with ordinary prizes ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands and millions on a regular basis.
I feel really bad for Natsume right now. Digital River apparently is doing their job properly which is kind of their repuation. I dont know if any of yall have had an experiance with them but I have read bad story after bad story about them. I have read people never got their item, Ive read that the goods were damaged and in bad shape, and then I have heard that customer service wise they are horriable and no help. Now while this is all exerpainces from other people, these should give people a warning of what to keep an eye out for when using them or considering using them. I had a bad feeling about ordering from them. However since the bunny for CE of Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley was too hard to pass up so I put in my online order. They were suppose to start shipping online orders thru the store on Wed Oct 29th but barely anyone has gotten a shipping email. The few that have gotten it ordered in random spots too. One lady who got hers ordered after me. I wont lie, Im a tad pissed off. I understand someone ordering before me getting a shipping email but after me? thats just ridiclous. If I didnt want that bunny badly Id cancel and cut my losses which even now Im tempted to do. However since it is close to original release day anyway I figure I might as well carry on and see what happens. If by Tuesday I still havent recieved my shipping email I think Ill cancel and go pick it up in store. I wont get a plushie at all but hey Ill live.
In one way, work taking up so much of my life this summer was a good thing. I managed to remain out of the loop on the whole Gamergate thing until I wandered back to Pixlbit, and even here I managed to avoid most of it, as well. And then my Facebook feed lit up yesterday with the cancellation of Anita Sarkeesian's talk at USU and an article from The Atlantic. That article really hit home, and I'll discuss that further down.
I thought I'd take an intermission and do something a bit different than the BrokeLeg Blog.
Video games had an exceptional year in 2013, with tiny indie teams getting attention for their creativity, and the usual budget behemoths stealing national headlines for their record-breaking sales. Two new consoles also hit the scene right at the end with a few titles that did their best to break into our top five.
WARNING: While I tried to stay away from giving actual opinions, this blog involves current, controversial events. If you prefer your Pixlbit blogs to be just about games or aren't in the mood for current events stuff, I totally understand; go ahead and skip this one.
We’ve let the dust settle and even waited long enough for some of the controversial policies to get reversed since E3 wrapped up, but we’ve got plenty of opinions about this year’s show. Each of us came into it with slightly different expectations and varying levels of optimism and negativity. Some of us were pleasantly surprised and others were given the huge serving of “meh” we anticipated.
