Ok so apparently I forgot to either upload my last blog post or I completely forgot to write one. I checked my folder and it turns out the one that I was typing up last week I either never saved or it got lost before I had a chance to upload it (I probably just forgot) anyways let’s catch up.

Looks like I'll be watching Phillies baseball next week too as they move on the NL championships. It's usually after video game time though, so I'll still have a report to make. Here's this week's by hours played as far as I can estimate since I didn't take exact notes. 

I set up my Disney Infinity on my Xbox 360, and  played some Immortals: Fenyx Rising and Pillars of the Earth. Pics first!

Yes, I'm alive. Busy and burned out at work and it's not even June. More about that at the end. I've been gaming more these days, so I actually have something to blog about for a change. And yes, true to form, they are all "late to the party" games that I'm sure everyone else played ages ago.

So this is Southern California the past week: HOT. Last week it was in the 70s, I wore a hoodie (with shorts), the windows were open and everything is good. This week, it is warm there’s no hoodie (still wearing shorts), and yesterday I broke down and turned the AC on. I fought the good fight but it got toasty. After I update you good people on my randomness I will most likely head out to the bank, maybe check out the thrift stores on the way back, and then get an ice coffee before starting the 3 day weekend so let’s get this started.

I'm quite behind in blogging the games I've been playing. Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure is one I started months ago. I've been playing it in between bigger titles. It's also on my list of short games to play. I enjoy the casual game now and then and this is a pretty good one, especially if your a fan of Pixar movies.

It’s that time of year again!  It’s the Cary’s Best Games of 2018 Awards Show blog!  Keep in mind that no outside opinions went into the making of this list.  It’s just my own picks.  And if a game is missing from my list, it either didn’t appeal to me as much, or I just simply haven’t played it yet.  Can’t play all the games out there, you know! 

I just got off the phone with a scam caller and apparently when you ask them “Who Hurt You” they get really angry. It was met with an F You, and a hang up, but at least I got a laugh out of it. Good morning Pixlpeeps! Does trolling scam callers count as playing a game?

I bought Wario Land: Shake It! today and downloaded two free Games with Gold titles: Livelock and Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World. I set up my PS3. And I started to catch up on the achievements leaderboard by playing a lot of short games downloaded from Game Pass. 

As the summer season comes to a close, it’s time for me to talk about the movies I saw in the past few months.  There really wasn’t a whole lot of movies this summer that I wanted to see, so this blog may be a bit on the short side.  I’ll try to keep the spoilers to a minimum, but there might be a few here and there, so you’ve been warned.  OK, let’s get started!

So things here are getting back to normal. I’m back to a kind of regular sleep schedule, no longer couch surfing, and I may have finished a game I started awhile ago. I also said farewell to another game that I played for years and I felt it was time to stop and replaced it with a time waster that I stopped a couple of years ago just to pick it back up. Not a bad couple of days.

There were actually quite a few movies that came out this Spring that interested me, so here’s a blog about them.  I’ll try to keep the spoilers to a minimum, and I’ll try to make any spoilers I make very subtle, but just in case, I’ll put a spoiler warning here anyway.

So on Sunday I was roaming around Toys R Us before I had to do some grocery shopping and I found the Talos Principal Deluxe Edition, or whatever they call the one with extra stuff for $6 on the PS4. I thought about it, had it in my hand, and I was walking around the Nintendo section still holding this game but in the end I put it down. Why? Well I still have a ton of games I haven’t played and a handful I started but haven’t finished yet so why add to the mix? I put it down, and whoever picks it up, I hope you enjoy the game! This has been the mindset this year (and the final weeks of 2017) so I would just tackle whatever is in my Steam library, see if its worth playing, and decide if it should be installed (also the $6 I was going to use, I added it to my 52 Week Challenge). Also I played some games I’ve already been playing.

I had to work around my neice's dance recital today, but I got some gaming in. 

You get three blogs in one today. It's just how long a gaming day I had. I guess, when I grow up, I won't have time for all this. I hope that day never comes, maybe. 

So far, I have been able to track down all the Toy Story figures, one left to go with Cars and  3 for the Incredibles. The power ups are a work in process but I feel I will track them down.

I started Sunday with a trip to Gamestop on my way to Mark's place and got some more Skylanders. They didn't have any from my core list like the internet said they would, so I got some Trap Team characters I didn't have and a Superchargers figure and vehicle. Used Supercharger figures are starting to fill the shelves, so I'll start picking those up when I can't find the older stuff. Here's the picture of what I got:

More co-op in Disney Infinity 2.0 today. Mark and I played Survival mode on both Assault on Asgard and Escape from the Kyln power discs. Tower defence in Assault on Asgard can be a bit of a pain after a while so we went over to Escape from the Kyln and played its Diablo style gameplay through all the story missions (I used my Spider-Man figure for this), and then tried to tackle Exploration Survival Mode (I used my Green Goblin figure for this). This mode is 50 levels long, which takes a good long time, like several hours. Problem was, we kept getting disconnected somehow and had to start all over from the beginning. The first time we got to level 36 after an hour and twenty minutes (the mode has a timer). Then we got to level 46 after two hours and got disconnected again.There wasn't enough time to try a third time, so I checked out the Stitch and Brave power disc levels. 

It's a like becoming a routine these days to hit a Gamestop somewhere in my area and see what they got in Toys-to-life. This below is the result of two stops, one yesterday and one today. I'm working mostly on the Disney Infinity 1.0 figures, but I pick up interesting ones, when I find them, for 2.0. Then I fill out the five figures I get on the sale with Skylanders I don't have. Here's the pict below:
