Maybe you got all gothically moody with Evanescence's Fallen album. Ot started thinking about gaming as a true sport with Halo 2 multiplayer, or got outraged by the GTA: San Andreas "Hot Coffee" scandal. Or maybe you read David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas and hoped it'd be made into a movie, "It'll never happen!", you said. Or maybe you got your apocalyptic paranoia on with The Day After Tomorrow. It is Friday Pixlbit, and we have cross the BaD Finish Line! Another year has passed and for everyone who participated congrats! I’m going to find it a little odd to not post something everyday next week, but it will be good to go back to my usual two blogs a week. Since it is Friday here in “rainy” (in my neck of the woods it’s overcast and every once in a while sprinkles…STORM WATCH 2014!) Hello Pixlbit! It’s been an odd couple of days here in what is usually sunny Southern California. We had a crazy thunder storm, and the local news’ big story was that a tree was knocked over. This is more interesting than the last time when a guy drove his car through a flooded street, and was pissed at the city because his car was ruined (yeah that was news). Oh well after taking a break last week from blogging to enjoy the start of football I am back, and I’d like to share with you all the “What’s Going On With Chris” blog!
Hello Pixlbit! Football season is almost here and I can’t wait to watch my Aztecs, and draft my Fantasy Football team. It’s my third year playing FF, and one of the fun things is making up a name. My first year my team was called “Cromartie’s Other Bastards”, last year it was “Tebowing for PT” and this year’s name will be “Cell Block 81”. If you’re wondering, the player who does no research, and just picks that I think is the best available player.
Hello Pixlbit! In my last blog, I mention that Disney Infinity for the Playstation 3 had problems connecting to the Internet because well, the patch would corrupt the game save. There was an option to play offline, which was fine, but I felt it was missing something especially with the other versions working fine. Well last night there was a new patch, and this patch was able to fix the problem, and I was able to finally connect my game. I don’t know what happened but I was level 5 with Mr. Incredible, but I guess at some point I restarted, or the game restarted my count, and I am now just hitting level 4. Not really a big deal, but oh well.
So...I've been talking about the OCRemix tribute album to Final Fantasy VI, Balance and Ruin, for two weeks now (here and here), covering all the songs on the first two discs. By this point, though, I'm sure that anybody here that is going to download it has already done so and those that aren't going to...well, what's the matter with you? Go download it!
We continue our look into video games that should have movie adaptions. If you enjoy movies, and you missed any of my VG movie reviews from last week, be sure to check them out. I reviewed Super Mario Bros, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Street Fighter, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat, and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. But what games have never been made into movies that could actually be good (if done right)? Yesterday I gave three big ones. Today I conclude with three more.
