Whether you asked for it or not, chances are, Generative AI is now a part of your day-to-day life. Increasingly, it’s been worked into every facet of, well, everything. If you’re like me, it’s become a huge part of your work life too, regardless of whether you asked for it. GenAI is changing our world; it’s deskilling workers, weakening labor power, increasing the surveillance power of institutions, and reducing our collective agency and intelligence.
Yes, I can't believe it, but I have finished going through all my physical NGC and GBA games this week. I spent the most time with Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon and Riviera: The Promised Land. Let's go!
Army of Ruin is taking over and keeping me away from my retro plans. I have half a mind to pull the plug on my Xbox to keep me away from it but I want to finish what I can first. However, an intervention may be in order. But, I did play a few retro games in the margins.
More farming this week in Farm Together 2. Approaching the endgame as regards achievements, but it won't be done quickly. I also picked up two digital games on sale on Xbox, Valiant Hearts: Coming Home and The Bluecoats: North & South.
I watched the trailer for Farming Simulator 25 where hikers are taking selfies in front of modern harvesting machines and then racing them across fields. Nerds! Haha. I'm okay with my cartoony jeep in Farm Together 2. I've tried the Farm Sims before and they are mondo complexido. I love farming but not that much.
It's amazing to me the difference when you are totally absorbed by a game. Time just flies by and everything else around you just vanishes in importance. I'm not thinking about switching games, or taking a break or anything like that, it's just Farm Together 2 as much as possible.
I found a few more NES era games in the hack 'n' slash genre and I'll retell what I've played so far in the Genesis/SNES era.
