Hey Pixlbit! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Lately I've been waiting for Titanfall. Yes, Titanfall! Xbox One's console seller title. I absolutely love this game. This is a whole new level into first person shooters. The jetpacks and parkour in Titanfall allows you to make new ways to get from point A to point B and you can take that advantage of running on walls and jumping around to defeat other players. Titans in this game are just brutal. It has a good level of defeating them and using them in the battlefield. I'd definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes/loves shooting games.
Hello Pixlbit, and Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here, which means a couple of days of free time (sorry folks if you have to work on the weekends). I’m currently typing this blog while watching Team USA vs Canada for the right to go to the Gold Medal Game, so I apologize in advance if some of my writing doesn’t make sense. On this nice Friday morning I thought I would add another edition of Quick Hits (CUSS WORD, Canada just scored). For today’s Quick Hits I thought I would cover some Olympic thoughts, The Buccaneers New Helmet, What I’m Playing, and of course Pickups! So let’s get this started…and c’mon USA, get on the board!
This has been a BaD week for me. Started well enough with a long weekend (had President's Day off on Monday). Chessa and I took the kids out for a fun day at this place TreePaad, which was some bouncey bounces and this big obstacle course thingy with slides and all manner of padded delights. It was a pretty sweet joint and Nicholas had fun in there for 2 hours, while Mikey enjoyed crawling around the toddler area and mingling with some of the other young kids.
Welp, we got some US sales figures last night. Here's my take:
I started this month's BaD entries talking about the value of consoles, and what would convince me to buy the latest ones. In short, I'm not really up on buying any of them right now, either due to lack of games, pricing, or both. The handheld side, however, is another matter.

Am I still on time, or is 2013 already as outdated as the Macarena and my lame reference to the Macarena?
2013 was a great year for video games in my opinion. There was a pretty wide range of enjoyable titles throughout the year for all platforms, and it's been a joy trying to get my hands on them all. I'd rather not rank them, but rather recognize them for their qualities. Here's my list!
Guess it’s that time of year for GOTY blogs…. Seriously, kind of snuck up on me this year! (may also have a separate blog for anime/streaming anime of the year. We shall see).
I had plans for doing a review this month but with the holiday business murdering my coworkers and myself I've been able to find the energy to write one. I may get around to reviewing the mod in qustion for Ultimate Doom for a post-Christmas update but I need to play the game, as long as I feel brave this week to actually play more of it. So aside from the holiday drain and attempts to getting a shiny Furfrou on Pokemon X I've been playing another game I just got from the Steam sale, Shadowrun Returns. The game is fantastic and there's a community writing modules for the game, including a fan sequel to Deadman's Switch (the official module that came with the game) and an alpha build of a SNES Shadowrun reboot. And this is where inspiration comes in for me.
First, a quick intoduction for anyone who might not know me (which is most likely a lot of you out there): I'm just some guy who signed up here after 1up went into suspended animation, and took his sweet time in finally getting around to posting here, aside from the errant comment now and again.
Yeah, I have so little self control I already bought Pokemon X so I could replay. I would say these games are like crack, but at least that has rehab. What the hell does Pokemon have? Anyways, here's my team.
well I havent posted much over the last few weeks because Ive been going through drama hell. I also had some money issues arise as well. Some things that happened:
I stood in line for an unnecessarily long time to pick up my copy of Pokémon X from Nintendo World in New York, but it was worth it. Most would have left the line and picked it up at a more comfortable or convenient location. For myself and many others, the reason why we stayed, braving the cold morning air along the streets of Manhattan, was the sense of community—the very heart of the Pokémon series since its inception. That community is one of the reasons why my time with Pokémon X has been so amazing, but it's much more than that. It's also about the way the the right improvements have been made in all the right spots, the new features, and the nostalgia. X is the best Pokémon game in a long time.
I am just waiting for my path of exile to finish installing. I actually have not been following this game that much but just been hearing bits here and there. I love Diablo 2, it is probably my favorite game of all time and many people have said that this game is the true successor to D2. We are about to find out. I actually quite excited to play.
This is not a review since I'm still playing a game (honestly a user review on this game from me may be a bit difficult) but I would like to give my first impressions about Pokemon X before you stop hearing from me for another month or so. Pokemon X is amazing!
Hello all... I guess I should say 'it's been awhile', to some of you. You might remember me as catgirl147 (Carly) from the now defunct 1up.com. Nice to see you again, I hope you'll forgive me for not keeping in touch.
I am all moved into our new place! It only took us about 6 days to unpack and do everything. Cory (my fiance) was able to help me over the weekend we moved but during the week he did not take vacation like I did, so I did a lot of the other unpacking during the week. Lets just say I am super happy its over with. The only items left to do are the wall items to hang up but I can do those later and eventually with Cory so it'll get done easier.
Still FFXIV-ing. I got a decent-way in. I just fought Titan last night.
