Well, summer’s almost over, so you know what that means. It’s time for me to talk about the movies I saw this summer (and some in the spring, too), as well as movies I wanted to see but didn’t get a chance to. I’ll try to keep things spoiler-free, but there may be a few that slip out, so just be warned. So let’s do this thing!

Welcome back to Nerds Without Pants! This week, the Pantsless Ones talk about some Twisted Metal before Chrono Crossing into 2013. We are recording our next episode early, so if you want to participate in the segment for 2012, please comment quickly!
Good morning Pixlpeeps! I hope your weekend was excellent and you are ready to tackle this week. There really hasn’t been a lot of game playing this past weekend because I decided to clean up/organize my video game/sneaker closet. I placed all the games I played and beaten back in their cases and left the games that I want to play. I spent a good couple of hours hunting for game cases and placing the games back in their homes and this was just for the PS3 and 360 games. The finished PS4 games I had this system already in place so it wasn’t much trouble.
I couldn't come up with an alliteration for both Friday and something game-themed except fragging, flanking, and I'm not really a huge shooter gamer, so ....
Recently I played and beat the new holiday title, LEGO Dimensions. I was impressed with some of the worlds you explore and licenses used, so I decided I’d write a blog about it. In short, LEGO Dimensions is essentially Skylanders with LEGOs. You buy and build LEGO figures and vehicles, and then put them on a special pedestal so you can play as them in the game. Unlike Disney Infinity, any character and vehicle can go into any world at any time. That’s one thing that Skylanders and LEGO Dimensions does right. Half the fun was seeing all the worlds you could go into, and what surprises you’d find. In fact, brother Jeff (who I always play LEGO games with), described the game as ‘LEGO Kingdom Hearts’ and I like how he put that. So let’s dive into the portal and see what we can see!

Well hello there! It’s time for another excellent community-driven episode of Nerds Without Pants. What does that mean, exactly? It means a bunch of fun, random, bite-sized topics. We are joined by Casey to talk about Pokemon, Drakengard 3, a look at some of our favorite consoles, piracy, and more!
All right, folks. I’ve cooked up another batch of recent game reviews I’ve written recently over at GamerDad.com. They’re really yummy and packed with nutrients and they’ll make you big and strong so I hope you can all read as many as you can and maybe even post a comment or two. I’d appreciate it. Bon Appetit!
Happy Tuesday Pixlbiticans, and Turkey Day is only a couple of days away! Because of this I might only do one blog this week because, well let’s face it there is going to be a lot of food and I want to eat, sit in front of the television, and maybe enjoy a couple of power naps. Hey everyone outside of the US, go ahead and celebrate too. Eat something with turkey, put a buckle on your hat, and think about the stuff you are thankful for. Speaking of, I am thankful to have a little piece of the Internet like Pixlbit to write all my randoms and share common hobbies (and pick up some new ones) with you good people. There are a ton of good folks here who have different opinions, and thoughts I wouldn’t have but that’s the beauty of spots like this. We all have our views and nobody is wrong (unless you hate the Yogurtland Rockpop flavor. You’re just a terrible human being
) and because of this I thank you good folks for making this little piece of the Internet warm and cozy!
Hey folks, I’ve got another batch of game reviews I’ve written lately over at GamerDad.com. Please click on the links and read as many as you can and maybe even post a comment or two. I’d appreciate it. Also wanted to let you all know that this coming week, you probably won’t hear much from me here because I’m going to Disney World!
Summer’s winding down, so you know what that means. It’s time to write a blog about the movies I saw this past summer. There may be some slight spoiler warnings here and there, but I’ll try not to reveal anything major, just to let you know. OK, let’s begin!

Video game parody is hardly something new. For generations, games have found plenty of subtle (and not so subtle) ways to lampoon iconic games, the industry, and culture. Until Retro City Rampage, I’m not sure we’ve had a single work that’s so utterly dedicated to the practice. You won’t find a single mission in the game that’s not parodying games, or ‘80s/’90s culture, or something you’re sure to remember if you grew up during the days of the NES.

Despite the variety of games classified as brawlers, they typically fall into one of two camps: Those that have deep, complex mechanics and require thoughtful, strategic combat decisions and memorization of enemy tactics, and those that are simple, fun, and generally don’t require a whole lot of thought. These are games like Streets of Rage, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or Musou games like Dynasty Warriors. Senran Kagura Burst falls squarely into this second camp, but that doesn't mean it’s not a unique experience. Senran Kagura Burst is probably the most Japanese game I've ever played, and that’s really saying quite a lot.
