Recently I ordered a birthday present for a close relative online, but it wasn’t enough to get free shipping.  So I ordered Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for Wii U to go along with it.  I’m not a big fan of Tekken games, but I’ve been known to buy a couple of them if they have a few modes and features I like, and if the price is low enough.  For instance, I got Tekken 4 when it was cheap, simply because hidden in the game was an old Namco arcade 3-D space shooter called StarBlade.  The Wii U edition of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had some Nintendo-centric modes and features I was curious about trying, but not curious enough to pay full price for.  But I found it cheap enough now online, and I’ve been playing it off and on.  So in honor of that, here is a blog about my top ten favorite Tekken fighters!

I've been way too lazy lately to blog and Tumblr doesn't help, but because I can't live without doing atleast a blog every month, here's a very quick update on some things from mid-April until now:

Fighting games can be a diverse genre of video games. However, that diversity can often be over shadowed by the same handful of franchises and companies that have much larger presences. Although the tides are turning and new fighting game IP s are now more that ever making their presence known though the indie scene. Today, we're taking a look at a few of the many indie fighting games that are emerging this year. Some games are playable right now while other games plan to use crowd funding later this year. These games, however, provide a healthy alternative and bring (or in some cases could bring) new life into the fighting game genre.

Now that the PS4 is out, I always like to take a look back at the previous console and honor it by listing my favorite games for it.  Last time we looked at my favorite PS3 disc-based games that you have to buy at retail.  Now we’ll look at my favorite games I downloaded on PSN!

I wish I could say that the fact that I haven't been writing much is that I'm having a thrilling adventure, living life to the fullest, and feeling at the top of my game... but that would be a lie. A really great lie that I would gladly trade my current standing, but a lie nevertheless. I've hit rock bottom, at least from a personal standing. Yesterday, after coming home from a rough night at my 3^rd shift job, then having a hard time sleeping in the day, and finally just plain being a really cranky ass to myself and others, I kind of found it hard to be happy about anything really.

Even though Namco Bandai is my favorite video game company, of the three game makers featured in Project X-Zone, I’m probably more familiar with the Capcom roster in this 3DS action strategy RPG featuring heroes and villains from Namco Bandai, Capcom, and SEGA’s games.  Since last time we looked at the Namco Bandai characters found in Project X-Zone, this time we’ll look at the Capcom ones.

Hey there folks. I'm changing things up today, again. Originally I was going to write about Killer Instict but there was a huge news overload that came out of EVO, that was too good to pass up. Then again, EVO is like the E3 for fighters, so there's been a bunch of news that's been flooding out from Las Vegas. So today we're taking a look at all that and few other interesting bits that have come out within the last week or so.

I haven't really made many blogs about what I've been playing lately so I thought i would post one sort of. Well anyways here's the games I've got this year so far.

It’s that time again.  Another batch of links to games I’ve reviewed in the past month or so at GamerDad.com.  Please read them if you can, post a comment or two, you know the drill.

Guess what, everybody?  I’ve got some big news for you all!  I’ve just been hired by Capcom to lead a new R&D game development studio here in the US!  I’m calling it Bulldozer Entertainment and we’ll be creating and developing new game ideas using Capcom’s vast properties and licenses.  Needless to say, I’ll be very busy and you probably won’t hear much from me here anymore.  But before I go, I thought I’d share with you all some of the things I’ll be working on in the coming months.

UPDATE: And that does it for round two, folks!  Keep your eyes peeled for round 3, which will be starting very soon.  Excitement!

With Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon recently released, I tried to think of my favorite ghosts from the first game, as a lot of them had quite a bit of personality.  But it’s been such a long time since I played that game that I couldn’t think of enough to write about.  But then I started thinking about my favorite ghosts in other video games in general.  I think ghosts are kind of neat.  You know those dumb ghost hunter and ghost story shows you see on TV?  Yeah, I watch those sometimes.  It’s a guilty pleasure thing.  I might also watch a stupid ghost movie on Netflix from time to time, and of course, Ghostbusters is one of my all-time favorite films.  So in honor of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon coming out, here’s a list of my top five favorite ghosts in video games!
