I've been playing Dragon Age Inquisition for about a solid month now.  Thus far, I'm over 40 hours in, and have just romanced the sensual Orlesian diplomat Josephine Montilvyet.

Happy Holidays!

Again, it has been while since I last wrote. I was actually keying up to write about some of the new anime shows I have been watching on WordPress but I just read today that there’s malware in some peoples blogs. I am going to refrain from using it until I know it has been solved; I have no idea if I am one of the people whose blog got affected, so I figure better safe than sorry. Plus I wouldn’t want to have you guys get infected with malware by clicking on my link.

I had a clever line, but I am full of turkey and black friday deals.

Welcome back to Nerds Without Pants! Casey joins us for the first time to talk a lot about Dragon Age Inquisition. Come for the video game discussion. Stay for the talk about furries and sexual puns.

So I'm not much for going out on Black Friday.  In my part of California, people tend to go batshit crazy and get stupid with each other over discounted goods.

Well with one more day of work with a 5 day weekend I do have some ideas on what I will be doing and despite the fact I have been playing Dragon Age Inquisition I have been watching and playing other games, so last Saturday I lounged it was pouring rain so I kicked back and watched Das Boot which is a all German voiced movie but a great movie about the Submarines of WW2.

BioWare has a nifty way of continuing your adventure, but does it work?

The Dragon Age series has something of an identity crisis, due in large part to its disjointed development history. Even though Dragon Age: Origins came out a couple of years after the first Mass Effect, it was actually announced way back in 2004 as a PC exclusive. The roots of Origins could be found in BioWare’s classic Baldur’s Gate series, and the design sensibilities of the game were far removed from the company’s more recent action/RPGs like Jade Empire and Mass Effect. Dragon Age 2 was clearly very influenced by the success of Mass Effect 2, and the input of now BioWare parent company EA was easy to see. While Dragon Age 2 alienated some fans of Origins it also created a new set of people invested in the world of Thedas. Now we have a third entry in the series that has the difficult task of keeping old players invested while trying once again to do a “soft reboot” of the franchise. How does BioWare hope to craft a new adventure but still make players feel like they made their mark on the world? Enter the Dragon Age Keep.

The staff of PixlBit commemorates five years of the site.

It’s absolutely dumbfounding to think that PixlBit has existed in this world for five years now. I can’t even begin to tell you all how many times Chessa and I considered hanging it up and just moving on with life. But we never did and I’m not sure why that is. The early days were grim at times; visitation was extremely low, the hours invested were high, and my day job was absolutely soul crushing. I guess we always felt there was a light at the end of the tunnel – a point at which it would all pay off. And boy has it.

Hello Pixlbit folk. It's been a while since I've been on here. On my last post I was playing the Destiny beta. Sadly it's over. Now all I gotta do now is wait for September 9th to come. Seriously, with games like Diablo III Ultimate Edition, Metro Redux, Destiny, Dragon Age Inquisition, Disney Infinity 2.0(probably the one that will burn a major hole in my wallet), Halo: The Master Chief Collection, CoD Advanced Warfare and if it comes out this year, Grand Theft Auto V. I'm actually planning to buy the $120 version of CoD if it will still be available for pre order. I still have to pay off my Ghost Edition of Destiny. I think this year is probably my most expensive year for games.

Happy Wednesday Pixlbit! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Recently I picked up a few games. The first one I picked up was Ys: Memories of Celceta. This PS Vita game has been on my pickup list for a while. I've been reading so many forums on GameFAQS to justify my decision of picking it up. Luckily I found a used copy at my local GameStop. So I tried it out for a few hours. I know this game is rated high to most people, but I just couldn't get into it. I felt like I needed to know more about the series in order to fully enjoy it. It was my first Ys title so I couldn't relate it to any of the games that are common to it or it's previous titles in the series.
