Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is Nintendo’s newest mobile title, and I have been into it ever since it came out! The Animal Crossing game series is very special to me, so to celebrate just how much fun I’ve been having with Pocket Camp, I thought I’d go over all the games and spinoffs in the series, and rate each one and share my special memories of each. So let’s get started!

I just wanted to think back and see if I can remember what games I played thorughout the year. The idea is just to come up with a list now. This should allow me a reference point for when I start thinking about my favorite game(s) of the year.

When the Switch was first shown I was pretty underwhelmed. I knew I'd get one eventually, but from the launch lineup I just wasn't impressed. I already had Mario Kart 8, and Zelda BOTW on the Wii U, so as great as they were, they weren't exactly system sellers to me. So what made me want one? E3 is what made me want one now. Nintendo blew me away at last Junes E3 so I knew I really wanted a Switch. Even through there wasn't a huge lineup of must have games out, I knew there would be here soon enough and I knew the system would be tougher and tougher to find as the Christmas season quickly approached. My dad had agree to let me put the system on his Best Buy card for me and and I'd pay him back each month, so the trick now was to find one. Well within days I found one sitting on the shelf at a local Best Buy. Sadly it wasn't to be since my dad was back home in MA for the next week and a half. He looked for one out there for me, but no luck. Fortunately when he got back, we were tipped off by a BB worker that they would be getting some for the following Sundays sale. So in anticipation, I decided to buy a few games, and accessories to ready myself for my new Switch I was determined to get. Come Sunday morning we waited outside BB for them to open so I could rush in on my bum foot to grab one. Thankfully they not only had 6 of them, but they had them with the colored JoyCon's as well.

If you don’t remember Excitebots: Trick Racing on Wii, you’re not alone; very few picked up this wacky racer, dooming any chances of an Australian release (sorry, mates). After finally giving it a second life on the Wii U’s eshop late last year, Nintendo has decided to bring the series to Switch in a hot new direction.
When a brand-new game console comes out, I like to write a blog about the console that came before it, and talk about my favorite games on it. So now that the Nintendo Switch has been released, I’d like to honor the Wii U and go over my favorite games for that system (not in any particular order).
On Friday, February 17th, I had the opportunity to travel to Chicago and check out Nintendo’s upcoming new system—The Switch, as well as fifteen different titles releasing within the Switch’s first year. As a longtime fan of video games, I’d read about events like E3 and press preview events and dream about going to one of these one day. Since I’m not involved in games journalism and live in the Midwest, I never imagined I’d have a chance to attend a preview event. The only time I went to something of this level was Nintendo’s E3 Best Buy event in 2013, where I spent three hours in line so I could play one Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze level. When Nintendo emailed me an invitation to preview the Switch, I immediately snagged two tickets. When I left for the event with my friend Marcus, I expected something similar to that Best Buy preview.
Wow what a weekend...what an incredible game yesterday. I thought the Patriots were done....buried. Down 28 to 3 in the 3rd to come back and win 34 to 28...astounding. Whether you hate em or love em...there's no denying that 4th quarter was incredible. But I could go on and on... I have games to show!

A new year brings promise of new video games, so I thought I’d write about which ones I’m looking forward to this year. Of course there will probably be some announcements of new games throughout the year (like at E3), as it’s a bit early. And of course some things may be delayed, too. But anyway, let’s take a look at what I’m looking forward to playing and reviewing this year.
Look at that title. I know what you're thinking. What a vague title. Switch to what? Why it's simple. Switching to the Nintendo Switch of Course! I did my best to remain purely impartial. So I gathered a list of pros and cons or as my pun filled title suggests joy cons (rimshot*) Anyways, bad jokes aside I figure it would be best for me to offer my opinion. Because even though I am a fan. I am privy to Nintendo's manipulative ways. So without further ado...here's the list!
Im back once again after a long break. I've been meaning to post here a lot more, but im lazy. Apologies if I haven't responded to anyones comments on earlier blogs, but it seems a bit late now. I do read them though.
Virtual Reality is nothing new. Back in the 90’s, when 3-D graphics were getting a little more commonplace in games, we got to see its infancy in the form of special arcade games and failed consoles like the Virtual Boy. It even entered the realm of movies and TV with films like The Lawnmower Man and kids shows such as VR Troopers. Fast forward to the present, where technology has advanced exponentially, and VR has made a bit of a comeback, with games on PC and even consoles like the PlayStation. So I started thinking about games that I would like to play in VR. Here’s my list:

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival is a Wii U game that came out late last year. It’s a video board game featuring Animal Crossing characters, and you use Animal Crossing Amiibo figures to play it. You must scan them on the Wii U gamepad to roll dice, save your individual progress, heck; you can’t even start the game without first scanning an Amiibo. But there is a little more to it than that. Along with the board game, there is a selection of eight mini-games you can unlock that use the Animal Crossing Amiibo cards that are primarily used in Happy Home Designer. I haven’t read too many reviews online that go over these games in detail, so I’ll do that now since I like covering mini-games.
