Welcome to another jam-packed edition of Nerds Without Pants! This week, we’re joined by Friend of the Show John Gholson to talk about remaking some of our favorite games. We have a lengthy Consumption Junction segment, and finish things off with the most bombastic Video Game Cage Match so far!

In my plan to study a decade a month for the year of 2019, I've finished my first book on January's decade 1900-1909 concerning art. Then I finally finished up Halo: Silent Storm, a kind of return to the roots of the Halo story. I hope the same is true of the next game.
Two games entered my collection and a whole lot left it in trade, which reminds me, I have to update my backloggery. Here's some pics.
Pixlpeeps, Happy Monday! I went to the gym earlier this morning and this new guy keeps taking “my” treadmill. That’s fine because the one next to it has a better view, but this is what bugs me. Since it is a neighborhood gym the rule is that once you’re finished wipe down the station and there are two dispensers at either end that have those Clorox Wipes. Guy just hops off the machine, and walks away. Gross. Anyways that’s my random morning rant. Let’s get started with What Chris is Playing!
So I'm fairly sure I didn't play anything IN this year, but I've cheated a bit to include the games I played at least pretty close to 2011. This was another one of those "transition" years where nothing happened.
So here I am on Friday night and well I really don’t have anything to write. I reserve Monday and Friday as my regular blog day items and do the BaD stuff during the week but for today’s Quick Hits I have no idea what to write but I should write something because it is Friday and well the Opening Ceremonies are on and I’d like to see the the 100s of athletes that make up Team USA. Instead of doing my usual of Quick Hits I will talk about something else I really don’t collect anymore but I still love and occasionally buy….Jerseys.
Also known as Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, this was a fun game to collect figures for. After seeing the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie the same summer this game came out, I was keen to get all the figures. These are all the first wave figures released:
So next week is Thanksgiving and I do like this time of the year because tons of food, family get together, and of course Black Friday shopping, on Thursday (sorry retail folks). This year is no different with the exception that the local Target has closed down and my only close option is either Toys R Us and Walmart (I really don't want to drive too far out of laziness). Over the past couple of weeks I've been waiting to see the latest offerings from the various stores to see if something appeals to me just enough for me to want to drive to the next town to hit the Target, or if Walmart and or Toys R Us will have the things I want. Thanks to sites like Slickdeals and Cheapassgamer and apps like Flipp I am able to view the Black Friday ads early and plan out what I want. Now I'm not buying a lot but there are a couple of things I want to get along with on the fence stuff
So unlike May I actually beat a game this month. Im officially caught back up but I might try to finish a second game since May wasnt a good month. I have probably talked about God Eater before on here. If I havent I have no fucking clue why not. Regardless though, this game is fucking fun and worth a playthrough. They rereleased this bundled with the second game but you can buy it on PSN for $19.99. Personally I say its worth the $20.00 but I know not everyone likes the monster hunter type games. Let me atleast say this game is way easier to jump into than Monster Hunter. Its beginner friendly and single player friendly. The story for the game can be beat completely by yourself. Other then maybe achievements, there isnt anything special to use the multiplayer for.
First, I don't want anyone knowing how much I make, but I'm quite proud of my budget for March, which I just got done with a 50/30/20 Google Docs Worksheet. Not sure I trust Google with this information, but I am an American. I trust nefarious strangers in exchange for convenience. What are you gonna do?
Today is release day for MLB 17 The Show. I'm still on the fence if I should buy the game or just continue playing MLB 16. Last year I pre-ordered the game, and by pre-order I mean I walked into a Target bought one of those $1 cards that gets me the game and a $5 gift card to use on another trip. If you purchase your game at the Electronics section, you can use the gift card on something else like a $20 PSN card at the front of the store. Anyways I didn't play much of last year's game, only getting video game Chris to put up monster numbers in the minors just to be brought up by a struggling Mets squad that wasn't winning after the All Star Break. Anyways I never finished the game and maybe this might be the first year I play the game for more than two seasons.
I am currently playing MLB 16 the Show. And why oh why did I digitally dowload the game.
I still play MLB 14 the Show but yesterday I beat a new game.
