Welcome, welcome, welcome, to the annual Nerds Without Pants music special! We’re coming back from hiatus very soon, but before that we have an AMAZING guest to talk about some of our favorite video game music with: none other than Megan McDuffee, the composer and singer of the River City Girls soundtrack!

Break out the tin-foil hats and buckle up, kids, because Nerds Without Pants is taking you on the conspiracy theory train! That’s right, we delve into all manner of rumors, speculations, and outright lies regarding video games. We hope you’ll join us for this jam-packed Stage Select topic, and then stick around to see who comes out on top in the steel cage when Half-Life 2 goes toe to toe with Halo 2!
Good morning Pixlpeeps! I haven’t been on this site this past week because I’ve been battling a cold and had a family emergency. All is well on both fronts, although I still have a stuffy nose, an occasional cough and my ears are still plugged, otherwise I am good. I had a blog typed up on Monday but never uploaded it, so I might be lazy and just upload it next Monday. Anyways let’s get started with Quick Hits.
This week at GamerDad we’ve looked at the three main things you can build with the Nintendo Labo Vehicle Kit. So now I’ll wrap things up with links to all three articles so you can view them more conveniently, as well as some conclusions on the set as a whole.
So over the past few weeks I’ve written several articles about Nintendo Labo at GamerDad.com. But since these articles were so spread out, I figured I’d bunch links to them all here for easy access for people who want to read them all. So dig in and check out all about Nintendo’s creative cardboard folding video games on the Switch!
I’m really liking this blogging while still in bed. It’s comfortable, quiet, and I don’t have to get up. It’s good times. Anyways so as I lay here, with the laptop propped up, after playing my two go-to games on the iPad (Marvel Strike Force and Disney Heroes Battle Mode), it is time to update you good people on what has been going on in my little piece of the world wide web. This past week I’ve had a cold. I like to think it was just a cold. You know the basics: achy, headache, runny nose, and wanting to sleep, and I think I hit the worst of it yesterday when I had a four hour nap, but after that I was feeling good. Right now the only problem I have is trying to consistently breathe through my nose. So this Quick Hits are things I did while being sick.
I'm writing this off the cuff, so if you feel I'm missing something you think I'd be interested in, don't be shy about saying so in the comments.
I finished RiME, at least the story today. Total time to end credits was 5 ½ hours. I really only had one moment that made me think twice about continuing. I had to run from this giant bird and couldn’t get to a safe area in time. I must’ve replayed it a dozen times before my character kicked into overdrive and actually ran hard. You mostly trot around when you move with the analog stick and as long as you don’t stop you start to run a little faster. I couldn’t get that to kick in for me in this one specific spot and it nearly stopped me from continuing. I somehow got it, though. The rest of the game presented me with no serious problems. The puzzles weren’t that hard.

Welcome to a musical masterpiece edition of Nerds Without Pants! We are joined by John Brandon of the Square Roots Podcast, and this episode is so epic we had to split it into two parts. Let’s jump into this one, shall we?
Ever since I read daftman's blog about Castlevania coming to Netflix, I've just been listening to this YouTube video with all the different versions of "Bloody Tears" throughout the series.
Are there any songs in video games that remind you of Christmas? Well I have some, and I thought I’d share them with you. So here are ten of them. Have a listen and get into the video game Christmas spirit!
I'm not going to go into any great detail here but I'm loving these two games.
Rpg's are about as rare to find on the Nintendo Wii as horror titles. Sure there were a few such as Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World or even wiiware titles like Final Fantasy IV : The After Years, but for the most part they were more miss than hit. And when we did get a RPG it was more of a hybrid style. Super Paper Mario became more of a traditional 2D platformer, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time was a DS port. And that brings us to today's game. Today we have a mystery dungeon roguelike that came to the Wii. This week's wii review-Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon- A game I bought for $15.
So a few days ago I beat Ys: Memories of Celceta on my PS Vita. It was a fun game, but not near as good as Ys Seven on PSP. One of the reasons why I liked Ys Seven so much was it had a fantastic and memorable soundtrack. One of the best I’ve heard in recent memory. The Vita Ys game wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as memorable. So now I’m going to try and do something I’ve never done before here: write a blog and post videos of music from Ys Seven that you can listen to. (Yeah this is kind of a filler blog) I hope I can get it to work! Here goes nothing!
Pixlpeeps what is up? I am back again, its Friday and I am ready to do nothing but watch television and maybe play some games. How has the week been treating you? It’s been basketball week here with The Aztecs taking their frustrations out on Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons. I was hoping for a cool headline like Aztecs send Mastodons back to the Ice Age, but no such luck. Anyways it is also the NCAA Tournament and guess who I picked to win it all?
I like 2009. I just like that number. I don't know why, but maybe it's because I have good associations with that year. Below is a breakdown of those associations.
Don't think I read much in 1996 unless you count sheet music. Read a bunch of that stuff for bass. I did notice that George R.R. Martin's A Game of Thrones came out that year. I guess I gotta check it out since it's such a huge monster these days.
Oo yeah baby, I'm celebrating 1996 this week. Here's just a few albums that I remember most.
Here's my 1993 playlist. This is what I have in my collection now after I added a bunch on Tuesday. I'll be listening to this stuff all week long.
Today was the library book sale. I rarely find games there but I always find music. Today the nets brought in a nice assortment of CDs. There are also four bare naked ladies in there. See if you can find them in the pic below:
