So I had this weekend project where I rediscovered my Playstation 2 library and decided to play a couple of the games. After some tweaking the games look good and I am enjoying playing some old favorites, and some games I didn't even play. The PS2 has become a new console to me again and this is what I will probably be playing for a bit.
This is the current weather situation here: a couple of days ago the weather decided to become an oven and it hit 110. There was no humidity so it was just hot, which isn't as bad as it sounds (don't believe me, I spent the majority of the day inside with air conditioning) and last night and today it is really windy and it will only be 90 degrees. This is what I get for living in a valley.
So I think the novelty of sorting/organizing my digital crap has worn off. For the past couple of days I took a break from organizing the Photo Drive, and I jumped on the Media Drive to do the same. Like I said in Monday's (or was it Tuesday) blog, I found more pictures so I threw those into a folder named Sort Photos and then I was off to clean up the Media Drive. The Media Drive was a lot easier because most things I could just toss, like I had copies of my micro SD Cards from my first Smart Phones. Yeah I don't know why I kept them, especially after I made the jump to iPhone, but I kept them, along with a ton of random documents, and other interesting yet unneeded items.
So this is the usual morning routine: I wake up an hour before my alarm goes off. I have that extra hour in case I wake up late, which has happened, and I am not rushing to get things done so I can get going with my day. During this hour of just laying in bed, I have the local news playing, and I am on the iPad reading Twitter, checking Facebook, and maybe looking through Slickdeals. Over the past 24 hours I have had to use the “Hide All” feature on a couple of friends and this is why. Over the past year or so I have called people “Political Bandwagoners” because all of a sudden they have become so into politics this is all (most) that they post. Just like sports bandwagon guy, political bandwagon guy is just as annoying, and is only around for the ride until something else comes along.
So this is my current situation, I'm trying to get back into my normal groove. I'm a little (a lot) behind here reading and commenting, I haven't been listening to my 50 songs a day, the podcast list is backed up to about a week, and I'm spending the time that I would normally dedicate to those activities to randomly searching YouTube for various videos. April is quickly becoming my lazy month. Other than that everything is a-ok here in breezy Southern California. The Coachella kids are gone...until the end of the week but there is a movie being filmed at the Polo Grounds (where Coachella takes place) and I've been debating if I should go be an extra. The only requirement is that I have to dress like I'm going to a country music concert, and I think I have to donate $10 to Lady Gaga's charity. The bonus is they are going to raffle off various prizes throughout the filming so it might be fun. We shall see if I can find the free time to check it out.
Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is Friday and I have to admit I haven't been around much this week and that is because I have family from Hawaii visiting so the week has been spent hanging with them, playing some games, playing with Lego, and visiting the neighborhood pool. We would have used the neighborhood clubhouse but they are still in remodel phase for another week or so (hopefully, I miss the treadmill). Because of this I haven't read any blogs and commented on them. Since the Coachella kids are invading for week 1 I will probably not venture outside much if at all so I have that time to catch up. Anyways let's get started with another Quick Hits.
First, I don't want anyone knowing how much I make, but I'm quite proud of my budget for March, which I just got done with a 50/30/20 Google Docs Worksheet. Not sure I trust Google with this information, but I am an American. I trust nefarious strangers in exchange for convenience. What are you gonna do?
Good morning Pixlpeeps and Happy St. Patrick's Day. Yes the one day where I actually wear a lot of green (by a lot I mean a green baseball cap, and matching sneakers). Today is also week two of No Meat Friday so hopefully I can find something to eat that doesn't involve the words “Tofu”, and “burger.” I might hit up the local casino for dinner because its two for one seafood night, and crab, shrimp, and clam chowder is on the exempt list (WOOOOO!) I also hope there is a trip to the local mom & pop for me so I can add to the music library. As I type this I am currently ripping an audio cassette audiobook. I do like audio cassette books because I can say “Books on Tape” but also there are tons at Thrifts and usually they are cheap, and the sound quality isn't bad. The drawback is I have to rip them in real time, and this is where I miss high speed dubbing. Anyways let's get started with Quick Hits
I don't think my body cares about the fall backwards, spring forwards time change anymore. I woke up at the same time I normally do: 30 minutes before my alarm. During this time I question why I wake up that early, read Twitter while listening to the local news, and maybe a quick scan through Reddit. That is how I welcomed in spring forward. Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is the rare Saturday Quick Hits but yesterday I was caught up in things like trying to not eat meat (the one legit Catholic thing I do a year), breaking in some shoes, and not being in the mood to write something for the normal Quick Hits time. This morning however I felt that I should write something and I have a couple of things I'd like to write about.
At the tip top of Amazon’s page reads a banner: “New and interesting finds.” Never knew that was there. Did you? Apparently it's a feature they introduced a few months ago. I clicked around, surprised at the many artistic, unique products. I was amused, bewildered. By the end, I laughed, I cried, I lol’d.

Well good morning Pixlpeeps! As I type this what is normally sunny Southern California is gray, gloomy, and wet because we are having another storm roll through. Yesterday it was just gray and gloomy with sprinkles here and there, but now the water hitting everything is a symphony of different sounds and it is a perfect time to have some soup and maybe catch up on some reading...OR I can write about my experiences with you good people. Yeah I'll be back in a couple of hours.

There are a couple of reasons why I didn't write a Quick Hits blog yesterday. One of the reasons was because I was close to finishing Grand Theft Auto V that I wanted to get it out of the way. Another was I didn't want to write a QH. I had my pictures ready, and I knew what I wanted to talk about but I just didn't want to commit it to paper...err electronic paper. On this fine Saturday morning before I go and resume my CD Saturday where I visit the local mom and pop shop, and sink a couple of hours into finding what hidden gems I can find in the $1.99 section, I thought it was time to add to my blog entry with another edition of Quick Hits with Chris.
Good morning Pixlpeeps! For today's Quick Hits I'm gonna try something different. I've recently gotten into this kick where I watch YouTube videos about headphone reviews and I've become interested in the budget side of headphones. As you know with my CD pickups I love a wide range of music and I also listen to a lot of podcasts. I decided to check out two headphones to see if they live up to the hype and the best part is, both pairs combine come out to about $70 which is usually the price of a new video game and maybe some DLC. Today's Quick Hits will cover these two headphones. If you're not into it I get it, and you can either skip down to the bottom to see what bargain bin video game I bought or I'll see you next week.
