If there was one video game company during the NES era that seemed to almost one-up Nintendo in terms of quality games, it was Capcom. Whether it was releasing games starring the blue bomber himself or making great licensed Disney games, they could do no wrong. They continued this with the SNES, the Playstation 1, the Gamecube, the DS – and people loved them.

Resident Evil Revelations is shaping up to be on of the prime reasons to own a Nintendo 3DS. Utilizing the gameplay made popular by Resident Evil 4 along with a few old school elements, the game seems to take the best of what the series has to offer and put it into one small package. The result so far, is pretty much that.

There hasn't been very much information released about Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil title, Resident Evil: Revelations. Today at Nintendo's E3 Press Conference we saw a brief view of the game in action, and finally gamers were given a small amount of additional information.

Aside from the recent Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition news revealed at this year's Captivate, Capcom's yearly media event, the company also revealed two new titles: Dead Rising 2: Off the Record and Dragon's Dogma. Hi everyone! Although I didn't attend E3, mostly due to having little interest in modern gaming outside of Wii, I still managed to watch bits of the press conferences and catch some pieces of news. There wasn't much shown to change my personal opinion, but there was still some excitement. Since I haven't been posting my usual Nintendo 64 entries during the week, I figured I'd offer up my impression of E3. I realize this is a bit late, but I'm a retro gamer. Since when am I timely?

The second piece of DLC comprising Capcom's Gold Edition of Resident Evil 5, Desperate Escape, features Jill Valentine and Josh Stone. The episode fits into the main story just as Lost in Nightmares did, but is a bit more interwoven. Players start off directly after Jill is saved in the mainline quest, and Chris and Sheva depart. Josh finds Jill, and the two proceed to escape the compound in which they are trapped. This escape makes for a decently fun play experience that is much heavier on the action than its DLC predecessor.

Another few weeks have passed, but the crew has once again reunited to record another episode of the show.

The first of the upcoming DLC packs for Resident Evil 5 is Lost in Nightmares; a short episode starring Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. The duo find themselves in a mansion eerily similar to the one found in their very first adventure over a decade ago.

This week's PlayStation Store Update is quite plentiful for Thanksgiving. Players should give thanks for the PSN sale that Sony is running this week which includes titles like Flower, The Last Guy, Bomberman Ultra, and Comet Crash for $5.

Last week it was announced that the contents of Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition would be released as a collection of downloadable content. Today, Capcom announced Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, which is set to release in March and will feature the full Resident Evil 5 game in addition to the four downloadable content packs that comprise the Alternative Edition.

In this week's Famitsu, Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition was detailed. The pack, confirmed for DLC release, will include two separate missions as well as two costume packs, aside from the new motion and pointer controls.

At Sony's Tokyo Game Show Press Conference, they revealed that Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition will be compatible with Sony's motion controller. Both are scheduled for a spring 2010 release.
